River's eyes popped open as soon as she heard a knock at the front door. She knew it wasn't The Doctor but even the thought of him being there warmed her heart as she ran to the door in her leopard print night grown and no shoes or socks, the cold floor burned her feet.

Everyone else was still asleep as River bounced to the door and threw it open. And as soon as she did she regretted it. The one man besides The Doctor she loved. Well, she loved him as her best friend who murdered anyone who hurt her. He had actually helped Amy beat up Saxon after her called the police on her.

"Hey, beautiful!" Jack engulfed River in a hug.

River kissed him on the cheek. "Hello, Captain."

"Nice dress." Jack chuckled making River feel flustered. She should have thrown a robe on before running to the door.

"Shut up, huh?" River hit him playfully. "Where's the missus?"

"Who? Gwen?" Jack blushed. "She's not the missus! She's just a friend."

"Who you have agreed to sleep in the same bed as you while you're here? Ha!" River smirked. "You love her!"

"Jack? Loving someone? Get real." A young brunette laughed as she walked over dragging about six bags with her.

"You must be Gwen." River smiled.

"Yes." Gwen waved with some difficulty, having had six bags in her arms. "And you must be... River? With the magical hair?"

"Magical hair?" River turned to Jack. "I thought you gave up on that after high school?"

"You wish, Miss Melody." Jack scoffed.

River rolled her eyes. "You are such an ass, Captain."

"Captain?" Gwen burst into laughter. "He's not an actual captain! Did you really believe that bullshit?"

"He always called himself captain since we were younger, everybody called him on his crap but I was just to sweet to this little baby!" River pinched his cheeks and talked like a baby.

Jack rolled his eyes. "Sarah Jane! Come on!"

"Coming!" A young brunette, perhaps 20 years old ran over from the car with a pencil tucked behind her right ear and a pad of paper in her left hand. "Is The Doctor here?"

"No, not yet." Jack wrapped his arm around Sarah Jane. "He'll be here tomorrow."

"Oh! Come in." River moved to the side. "The family is sleeping but I could make you something to eat, or some tea!"

"It's a quarter past noon." Sarah Jane looked at her wrist watch. "Why is everybody still asleep? Unless, they are really all dead and sleeping is your way of covering it up and The Doctor will not be joining us because you have killed him too!"
