Chapter  1-The news

           It was 5 a.m. when my mom got the call. "Hello?" said my mother. "Is Percy there?"It was Anabeth 's mother. "Yes. he's right here,why?"  "Its Anabeth. Somethings bothering her. I think she misses Percy too much."  "Ok I'll send him over."  It had been a while since I had seen Anabeth. Since she and her mother had just moved two blocks away,it did not take me long to get there. When I stepped up onto the porch,Anabeth came flying out the door so fast and hugged me so hard I almost fell over. "Percy I missed you!!"  "I missed you too Anabeth."  After a few awkward moments of standing there Anabeth spoke up and said,"Don't get too sappy seaweed brain"  Then she backed up and smiled at me. "Let's go inside."  she said. When we cot inside,I was breathless."Anabeth,this is beautiful.Did you design it?" Anabeth blushed. "Yes.It is a gift for my father when he gets home."Then her mother came running down the spiralling staircase,obviously exited to see me,and said,"Oh Percy,you came!Is Anabeth talking?"  I looked at Anabeth and then at her mother and said,"Yes. She is talking now I'm here."  Then her mother nodded at me and said something about polishing the staircase. Not two seconds after,two boys came sliding down the banister.I knew them from pictures Anabeth had showed me. They were Anabeth's cousins and twins.There names were Jimmy and Johnny. When the first hit the floor he yelled back at his brother and said,"I beat you down Johnny!!"Then Johnny yelled back at Jimmy and said,"Only cause you got a head start Johnny!!" Then Jimmy same up to Anabeth and said,"Is he your boyfriend??!!" Anabeth looked at him,obviously frustrated, and said,"He is NOT my boyfriend!!We're just friends!!" Then he turned around and sang all the way down the hallway,"You got a boyfriend!!!You get a boyfriend!!!" Then Johnny came up to  Anabeth and I and said,"Don't listen to him.  He's my twin,and he annoys me too.      You're not alone cuz."Then he ran off to join his brother.   "Don't let them annoy you Percy." said Anabeth. Then she made a gesture that told me to punch them if they did. When she left,all I could do was stare at everything.  There was a beautiful grand piano with a beautiful solid white bench. There was a beautiful coffee table in the middle of the couch I was on and three other chairs. But then again,Anabeth designed this. It was meant to be beautiful.

                 She came back later with a tray of sugar cookies. But I had to explain that I had A.D.H.D and could not accept,even though they were my favourite. "Ops.Sorry,I forgot." said Anabeth.  "That's ok." She left and came back later with a tray of apples and bananas.  "Will these do?"she asked. Then we sat and talked and ate all afternoon.
