chapter 2.

Ah the wonderful school bell. Finally class is over.

It's the next day and mum let me go to school to say bye to all my friends...

Um what friends?

Ok I'm just kidding. I have two best friends. And it's now just sinking in that I'm gonna have to leave them.

Ok, here's a brief description of my best friends. First there is Alex. Alex is the up beat one of the group. He is really loud and out going but very sweet and caring at the same time. He was the first one to say hi to me when I came into class for the first time in years 1.

(I just wanna say that I'm from Australia so this school is going to be a primary school. When Izu moves he is 13 and just started high school.)

Next is my other friend Kody. Kody has always been alex's friend, since daycare I think. But they met me in year one. Kody has been the smart one of the group. He's very intelligent but thankfully doesn't brag about it. He can be controlling but he is such a softie and good friend. He's always been there for me.

Also I think they like each other but like it's not my business soo I'm not gonna say anything.

Anyway, now I have to tell them that I'm leaving... Oh no.

"Hey Izu! Didn't catch you this morning. Where did you go?" That was Alex. How am I gonna do this.

"Oh hey A-Alex," I stuttered. This is not gonna go well.
"sorry, I was just a little late this morning."
"Oh ok. Well, Kody is sitting down. there let's go sit with him."Alex points behind me and I turn around. I see Kody sitting down on a table by himself. We walk over ant greet him.

"Hey, Kody." "Hi, Zuku! Come sit down." I walk over to Kody and sit next to him. Alex follows and sits on the other side of the table.

"Ok..." I sigh "I have some..news." I manage to get out. Their faces darken as they realize from the tone of my voice that it's serious. "what is it?" Alex looks at me with confusion and fear. So does Kody.

"Man, how do I say this." I mutter to myself.

"I'm moving."

They freeze. They seem to be at a loss for words because there is just silence.

"Are you joking?" Alex spurts out from across the table.

"No.." I sort of whisper. I didn't know what to say. I look at Kody and he looks out of it. Now I feel really bad.

"I'm sorry."I say letting out a breath.

"When?"

"Two days." I wince as I realise how soon that is.

"Why didn't you tell us sooner!?" Alex practically shouts. Kody takes his gaze off me and looks at his lap.

"My mum only told me yesterday." I'm on the verge of tears now and they both seem sad too.

Alex stands up and walks around the table. I stand up too and he pulls me into a hug. I hug back and after a few seconds we let go.

I turn to Kody who is still looking at his lap.
"Kody.." I say to get his attention. He turns to face me and I see hat he has tear streaks down his face. He stands up and I pull him into a hug. he instantly hugs back.
"I'm sorry." I say in the crook of his neck.
"It's ok." I hear him whisper a little.

We pull apart and sit down. This time Alex and Kody are on either side of me.

I

t's now the end of the day and I'm saying good by to my friends. Because I might not go to school tomorrow, I'm saying my goodbyes now so I don't miss them.

We're at the front of the school and I'm saying goodbye, probably for good, to my best friends.

We are all bawling and now I have to go to my mum so she doesn't get worried.

"Don't worry I'll call you." I say, still hugging both of them.
"Ok I need to go. My mum's here." Alex says.
"Yeah. Me too." Kody and Alex begin to walk off waving good by untill they reach their cars.

My mum's car is always out the back so I have to cross the oval to get there. I'm left with my thoughts as I walk alone to the back. My heart is aching because I won't be able to see them anymore.

But we can call so I guess it should be fine.

I make it to the car and my mum is waiting there for me.

I hop in and she drives off. She must have seen how red my eyes were to know that I was crying. I was now in a pretty bad mood so she didn't talk to me.
