A/N: So, I actually didn't plan on what happened, happening. Which is why this chapter took so long. I apologize for that, actually. Anyways, I hope you enjoy, and hope it makes sense, xD. The picture over to the side is Arai, cause I thought you guys might want a visual of him. Although instead of that blue shade, his hair is black. This was just as close as I could get to how I picture him.

Shit.

That was all I could think at that moment.

Shit. Why did he have to say that? Everyone is going to completely misunderstand.

The exclamation drew the attention of the rest of the people in the room, meaning that even those who hadn’t heard Mori’s announcement knew that something was going on. Meaning that all of the other members of the club and all of the fangirls including Chie were held in rapt attention. In an effort to hide my burning face, I ducked my head, hopefully removing it from at least a few eyes.

“Takashi-kun…” I muttered. “Did you have to say that?”

“She called him Takashi-kun!” someone squealed.

I just made it worse, didn’t I?

“Did you hear what he said?”

“Are they going out?”

If it was possible, I would probably have turned redder with each question, but I was rather certain I’d about hit the limit of how red a human could get. Mori on the other hand only seemed slightly perturbed that they’d heard his comment. His attention shifted only long enough to give them a brief, refreshing smile and a small shake of his head.

“No, we’re not going out. It was a simple accident,” he commented.

My eyes snapped to him as what sounded suspiciously like disappointed sighs came from our audience. He’d said that so easily. If anything, he didn’t even seem to be a teeny bit embarrassed. As soon as he caught sight of my expression, Mori chuckled, cocking his head slightly to the side.

“Did I give the wrong answer?” Mori asked.

“I knew it!”

“Did you hear that!”

“Nao-chan!” Chie declared, suddenly appearing at the side of the table. I was startled enough that I nearly knocked over one of the cups of tea sitting nearby. A large grin laid on her lips as she glanced between Mori and I before giving herself a slow nod. “No wonder you were asking those questions earlier! Well, I’ve got a solution for you. There’s gonna be a double date.”

I blinked slowly, giving her a blank expression.

“What?”

Mori seemed lost as well, because he simply glanced between the two of his, that refreshing smile of his finally falling away.

“A date?” one of the twins questioned, joining our little group.

“A double-date,” she corrected him.

“With Nao-chan and Mori?” the second questioned.

She nodded, turning her attention back to the two of us as the rest of the host club flocked around us.

“Exactly! I planned on going out with Arai-kun tonight, he finally worked up the nerve to ask me out,” she commented cheerily. “As such, I’ve decided those two should come with us! We’re going to dinner and a movie, it’d only make things even funner!”

Funner isn’t a word, is it? And even if it was, would that really apply to a situation that involved Chie and Arai in the same spot? I hadn’t seen the first year in some time, seeing as the only place I’d actually seen him before was the kendo club, which I hadn’t had a reason to attend.
