The room explodes in applause and Liam stand up and takes a bow.

"Thank you all so much. I so appreciate all Lillian, Morgan, Drew and Cara did to make this possible. Cassandra would have found out if I had planned it by myself.  Now I think its time to start this spook over,"  Lillian proclaimed. Everyone cheered.

The rest of the night Cassandra is glowing. Maybe it's just the light but she's still radiant, even in her un-human zombie paler for her costume.

"I told you your costume is perfect," Drew says to Cassandra.

" How many Carrots is that?"

"It's Carat,  C-A-R-A-T and it's 15 CARAT Diamond."  Liam walks over with a tray of Halloween cookies in the shapes of cat and witches.

"Isn't that expensive?"

"Cookie?"  He pulls the platter in front of Drew and Cassandra."

"Did you make them?  What kind are they?" She observes them.

"No. Daisy did."  He picks a cat up and smells it.  Smells like Vanilla."

"Sure thing. They're so cute." Cassandra picks up a cat with orange frosting and takes a small bite.

"So about the ring?"  Drew picks up a witch.

"Ohh. Well, yes it was  expensive, about $25,000."

" You got it that cheap?"  Drew looks astonished.

"Yep,  the guy at the store said If he was impressed enough with my proposal I could have it for 25k."

"Is he here?"

"I don't believe so."

" So how can he say if it's impressive if  he didn't see i?t"  Jackson video taped it for me.  I will send it to him as soon as I get my phone back."

"Do you have 25k?  Because I am not marrying a man who is broke just after our engagement!" Cassandra said in a serious tone.

"No not in my disposal of that. Don't worry,  I have more than 25k saved up. What I didn't mention is that he said if he was impressed with you and  it and your reaction,  if  you   say yes and it was higher than his expectation,   he would give it to me for cheaper."

"Well, I hope it was impressive enough. "

"Guys we're starting the movie," Lillian called through the house.

        After a pancake breakfast in  the morning Liam drive us home. Then Liam tries to break the news about his engagement. But it fails miserably.

"Good morning how was the spookier? 
"It's a  spook over not spookier." I say.
She stops.  " Is that a...  Liam Jesse Abbott why didn't you tell me you were going to purpose?"

"No. I knew you would overreact and spoil it."

"Well,  have you ever started to think that you' re too young?" Mom retorts

"No. I have been to war and seen some pretty terrible thing and I'm not damaged. "

"Uhhuh. Don't try to sass me, young man. I raised you dispite that I was 18."
