In the limo, the boys were enjoying the wide array of sweets. Meanwhile, Mal was thinking about the task in front of her.
"You're looking a little washed out. Here, let me help you." Evie said, attempting to put some blush on Mal's face.
"Ew, stop. I'm plotting." she responded, pushing Evie's hands away from her face.
"Well, it's not very attractive."
"It doesn't have to be attractive. The point is thinking, not looking pretty." Skye pointed out.
"Glad someone understands my predicament." Mal said, happy that at least one of her friends understood her actions. Meanwhile, Carlos was in the process of discovering the wonders of chocolate.
"Mmmm. This is amazing. It's salty like nuts but sweet like I don't know what."
"Let me see." Jay said. Carlos opened his mouth to show the half chewed chocolate. Jay wrinkled his nose in disgust before shoving Carlos away and taking some of the chocolate.
"Hey! Gimme some too!" Ace complained, shoving the other two to the side in an attempt to reach the rest of the chocolate.
"Look!" Evie said in a panicked tone. The others looked out the window to see the edge of the Isle and magic barrier getting nearer.
"It's a trap!" Carlos shouted. The VKs all huddled together, screaming in fear. However, they quickly calmed down when they got through the barrier and they were still alive. The car kept driving across a magic golden bridge. Skye suddenly remembered that Mal had been pressing a button on a small remote when they passed through the barrier.
"Mal, ask the driver if the button on that remote opens the barrier." she told her. Mal nodded and leaned towards the front seats.
"Excuse me. Did this little button just open the magic barrier?" she asked.
"No. This button opens the magic barrier. That one opens my garage." he said, while showing her a remote next to him. He then showed her another button.
"And this one..." he said as he pressed it, causing a black soundproof window to come up, separating him and the VKs. Mal smirked.
"Nasty. I like that guy."
The rest of the ride was uneventful.
When they reached Auradon, the marching band was there to welcome them, along with the Fairy Godmother, the prince and two other girls: Sophie and Audrey, the prince's girlfriend. The band stopped playing when the door was opened, the three boys falling out of the limo while fighting for a piece of blue fabric.
"You got everything else! Why do you want whatever this is?" Carlos asked.
"'Cause you want it! Now hand it over!" Jay said.
"Over my dead body!" Ace replied through gritted teeth.
"Guys, guys, guys! We have an audience." Mal said, noticing the stares.
"Just cleaning up." Jay stated while pulling the other two onto their feet.
"Like hell you were." Ace mumbled, adjusting the cap on his head.
"Leave it like you found it. And by that I mean, just leave it." Fairy Godmother said. Jay threw the piece of fabric back in the limo. He then walked up to Sophie, flashing a smirk.
"Hello foxy. The name's, Jay."
"Not interested. She might be up for it though." Sophie answered, motioning towards Audrey. Audrey glared at Sophie while Ben raised an eyebrow at her questioningly. Fairy Godmother intervened before any of them could say anything.
"Welcome to Auradon Prep. I'm Fairy Godmother, the headmistress."
"The Fairy Godmother? As in, bipiddy- bopiddy-boo?" Mal asked, her interest spiking quickly.
"Bipiddy-bopiddy, you know it."
"You know, I've always wondered how Cinderella felt when you showed up with that sparkly wand and that warm smile. And that sparkly wand." Mal commented, trying to steer the conversation towards the magic wand.
"Oh well, that was a long time ago and, like I always say, don't dwell on the past or you'll miss the future." Fairy Godmother replied. Ben stepped forward to welcome the VKS.
"It's so good to finally meet you all. I'm Ben."
"Prince Benjamin, soon to be king." Audrey interrupted.
"Oh, you had me at prince. My mom's a queen, which makes me a princess." Evie said, taking a step towards Ben.
"The Evil Queen has no royal status here, and neither do you." Audrey stated. Evie stepped back in embarrassment.
"This is Audrey." Ben introduced.
"Princess Audrey, his girlfriend. Right, Bennyboo?" Audrey interrupted again. Ben laughed nervously before gesturing for Sophie to introduce herself.
"I'm So-"
"Princess Sophie, daughter of the Snow White." Audrey cut her off. Evie suddenly felt nervous.
"Excuse her. I assure you that my parentage will make no difference on how I treat you. And please, just Sophie is fine." Sophie assured the VKs while glaring at Audrey. She then turned to Evie.
"Please, I'd hate to sabotage a possible friendship just because of your mother. After all, no one gets to choose their parents."
The VKs all looked at her in surprise. They didn't expect her to be so friendly towards them, especially Evie.
"Right. Well, Ben, Audrey and Sophie are going to show you around the school and I'll see you tomorrow. The doors of wisdom are never shut but the library hours are from 8 am to 11 pm and as you know, I have a little thing about curfews." Fairy Godmother said before walking away, the band following shortly after. Ben turned back to the VKs.
"It is so, so good to finally mee-" he started, getting cut off by a punch to the chest by Jay as he went to shake their hands.
"Meet you all."
He stopped at Mal, both staring into each other's eyes. Sophie cleared her throat, snapping him back to reality.
"This is a momentous occasion, chocolate?" he said after shaking Carlos' hand, licking the chocolate off his finger.
"As the day our two peoples begin to heal."
"Or the day you showed four people where the bathrooms are." Mal replied. Sophie let out a laugh before smiling at Mal.
"Oh, I like her."
"A little bit over the top?" Ben asked.
"A little more than a little bit." Mal confirmed.
"Well, so much for my first impression."
"Told you." Sophie said, trying to contain her laughter.
Ace stared at her, fascinated by her smile. He was snapped back to reality when he heard Audrey's voice, a sound that was starting to really annoy him, unlike Sophie's voice.
"Oh, you're Maleficent's daughter right? You know, I totally don't blame you for your mother trying to kill my parents and stuff. My mother's Aurora, Sleeping."
"Beauty! Yeah, heard the name. And you know what, I totally don't blame you for your grandparents not inviting my mother to their stupid christening." Mal replied.
"Water under the bridge?"
"Totes!"
They both shared a fake laugh that quickly died down.
"Did you really have to bring her along?" Sophie whispered to Ben in annoyance.
"She insisted. Said she wanted to support me or something. I wasn't exactly listening." Ben answered.
"Too busy thinking about Mal?" she said teasingly.
"You're one to talk. I've seen you looking at Ace."
Sophie blushed lightly before shrugging it off.
"Whatever. How about we keep this train ride moving before Audrey blows the whole thing. She's not exactly making the job any easier."
Ben nodded before clearing his throat.
"Let's move on, shall we?"
He lead then to the bronze statue of his father while explaining the school's history.
"Auradon Prep. Originally built over 300 years, converted into a high school by my father when he became king." he explained. He then clapped his hands and the statue turned from man to a beast. Carlos panicked and jumped into Jay's arms. Ace pinched the bridge of his nose while the girls shook their heads at their friend's antics.
"Relax, Carlos. My father wanted the statue to change between man and beast to remind us that everything is possible."
"Does he shed much?" Mal asked him as they walked away.
"Yeah. Mom won't let him on the couch."
Skye snorted in amusement as Mal attempted to figure out if he was kidding or not.
When they entered the school building, she asked another question.
"So you guys have a lot of magic here? Like wands and stuff, right?"
"Yeah, but it's pretty much retired nowadays. Most of us are just ordinary mortals." Ben answered.
"Who just happen to be kings and queens." Mal pointed out.
"True. Our royal blood goes back hundreds of years." Audrey said, a fake smile on her face.
"A fact that doesn't have anywhere near as much importance as some people think." Sophie added while glaring at Audrey. Ben looked at them nervously, unsure of how to solve the situation, when he saw his friends Doug and Ellie.
"Doug! Ellie!" he called.
They both turned to look at him. Emma smiles, then rushed down to them dragging Doug along with her.
"Guys, this is Doug and this is Ellie." Ben said, gesturing to the boy with glasses and the platinum blonde girl respectively.
"They are going to help with your class schedule and show you the rest of the dorms. I'll see you guys later. If you have any questions or need anything feel free to"
"Ask Doug or Ellie." Audrey cut him off.
"Or me and Ben." Sophie corrected, glaring at Audrey. She then added:
"Or literally anyone except Audrey."
Ace snorted while Ben cracked an almost imperceptible smile and Ellie did her best to contain her laughter. Ben, Sophie and Audrey then left the VKs to get acquainted with their guides.
"Right. So, I'm Ellie, the daughter of Elsa." Ellie introduced herself.
"And I'm Doug, son of Dopey. As in Dopey, Doc, Bashful, Happy, Grumpy, Sleepy and... heyo."
Doug froze when Evie walked up to him.
"Evie, Evil Queen's daughter."
Despite being very amused by Doug's expression, Ellie eventually elbowed him to snap him back to reality.
"Okay. So, about your classes. I, uh, already put in the requirements. History of Woodsmen and Pirates, Safety Rules for the Internet and Remedial Goodness 101."
"Let me guess, new class." Skye said. Mal then pulled them all along.
"Come on. Let's go find our dorms."
"The dorms are that way." Doug informed them, stopping them from going up the wrong staircase.
"Thanks buddy." Ace thanked him.
"Oh no! You are not ditching me that easily! Come on." Ellie stated before leading the way. As they went past him, Doug attempted to recall the names of all his uncles.
"Dopey, Doc, Bashful, Happy, Grumpy, Sleepy..."
"Sneezy." Carlos helped.
After getting the boys settled in, Ellie showed the girls to their room. She opened the door to a carefully furnished room.
"And voila."
"It's amaz-"
"Gross." Mal cut Evie off.
"I know, right? Amazingly gross."
"Agreed." Skye piped in.
"Well, I'll take my leave. Feel free to redecorate to your heart's content. Oh, and if you need anything, please tell Ben. He's really worried about making everything comfortable for you guys. I know there's probably not that many people like that on the Isle, but Ben really cares about you guys. We all care in fact. Well, all except Audrey but she's the exception that proves the rule. Anyways see you around. And at least get rid of the pink." Ellie said. She then proceeded to walk away, leaving the three girls stunned. Skye was the first one to snap out of her trance.
"I like her. She's got good style."
Mal nodded in agreement before turning to Evie.
"Ugh!I'm going to need some serious sunscreen. E, S."
The other two girls nod before closing the blinds.
"Whew. Much better."
