As the days passed, (Y/N) has been getting back on her feet slowly. As she did, she could explore the house that she was staying in. She felt like beauty, walking in the castle of the beast. Full of curiosity but also fear. Alastor had no trouble with her exploring around but also she knew who he was. A demon with quite the dark side. Would some of these rooms lead to something unpleasant?
As she made the rounds around the house, she found the kitchen, living room, dinning room, etc. All of them seemed almost untouched. He musn't enjoy a lot of company or he really likes to keep things clean, she thought. This place felt dark, closed dark curtains, tall windows, sculptures at every corner and beautiful oil paintings lined the walls. As the young woman kept going around the second floor, knowing Angel was still asleep downstairs and Alastor was away for the day, she might as well sing a bit to keep herself company in song.
"why does the sun, go on shinning?... why does the sea rush to shore?" as she sang, she could fill the silence from the empty halls with a gentle tune. "Don't they know...it's the eeeend of the world cause you don't love me...anymoooore?"
After a while she arrived to a rather dark room. She was unable to find the lights in the room so the pitch darkness could not be pierced. She felt around the room, a bit frightened that she'll fall or break something. She soon felt a soft fabric and recognize the texture. It was a curtain. She gently moved it, seeing the light from outside seeping in. She took it and softly pulled it aside. The light went into the room, revealing a recording studio for a radio station. She recognized the tools from when she was alive. This room looked used and a little disorganized. That must of been where he broadcasted his carnage. The place did remind her of the days she would be invited to radio shows to perform live to some of the passionate fans of her work. The young woman couldn,t help but giggle at that thought. This place made her think too much about her past life and she knew that such thoughts wouldn't lead to happier ones... She looked back to the window, seeing outside to the street. She could see a few men discussing on the sidewalk on the side. They looked...rather familiar and couldn't help but stare a bit.
"what are they doing?"
"maybe discussing drugs or something? why ya being nosy?"
The young woman let out a loud yelp of surprise, not realizing that Angel entered the room.
"easy there (Y/N). I ain't no monster. I just heard you singing and thought I might as well explore with ya." He looked outside the window. "what were you looking at any-" That's when he stopped talking and closed the curtains.
"A-Angel what's wrong?"
"Oh i-it's nothing. They didn't see ya right?" The woman shook her head. "good. I'll see ya later. stay away from that window." he continued. He soon walked away and hid somewhere deep in the house. She nodded and looked down a bit confused. Why did they look familiar?...and were these the people Angel was hiding from?
Soon enough, the radio demon entered the home. "Hello (Y/N). I'm home." (Y/N) quickly ran to him, looking so happy.
"welcome home."
"My my don't you look happy?"
"I'm just..glad you are home." she said in a shy tone. "is it bad of me?"
For the first time in a long time, he looked to her rather surprised before hiding his face away into his hand.
"Did i say something wrong?"
"no no..I just found your comment quite adorable."She smiled and looked to him. "say alastor...I...I noticed you had a broadcast room. It....It looked really nice.."
He smirked and looked to her. "would you like to use it for singing perhaps?"
"I...I couldn't. would that be truly ok to-"
"of course it is. Besides you owe me a live performance as payment don't you?"
She blushed even more. "I... I'd love to.."The studio was all set and ready to roll. The young woman sat at the desk, looking to the microphone.
"Is...is this going to be broadcasted?"
"If you'd like. I'd say you should. Such a voice should be heard by many."She never thought to be broadcast over hell. Was this truly ok? what if people hated it or she'd mess up?
Alastor softly placed a hand on her shoulder. "Trust me you'll do amazing darling,"
She nodded softly. "I'll do it."
As soon as she said it alastor turned everything on and got the broadcasting ready to roll. He went to the piano in the corner and winked to her, showing her she was ready.
He began playing the melody to the song she was singing back at the bar. She knew so well this song and she was ready too put her best foot forward.
"One more tomorroooooow..."As she carried with the song, she could feel emotions well up in her throat but kept going slowly, knowing that she wasn't alone. She was giving her all and she could remember the many times she'd sing when she was alive. The bright lights, the laughter, the sunshine and moonlight, all of these little things flowing back into her mind as she sung... She wanted to make people feel that soft warm feeling she felt in her chest. After all that's what singing was for. To share one's emotions to the world.
But as the song was coming to an end, tears began flowing out. She felt her heart tighten as her mind was flowing back to that one night. The night she killed a man and was murdered by one of his accomplices. She shivered, letting out the last line and finally ending the song.
She felt a pair of arms wrap around her softly, comforting her.
"don't cry my dear... you did beautifully."She let out so many tears and released all the anguish she had for so many years. A pair of soft lips pressed on her head as she slowly calmed down.
"Alastor... I....I want to tell you...how I died...could you lend me an ear?"
"...always."
