The ride was an absolute and utter mess.

With Seokjin driving and Yoongi dozing off on the passengers seat besides him with earphones plugged in, and Namjoon and Hoseok sitting in the middle munching on sweet snacks they brought along, the youngest three were given the privilege to do whatever the fuck they wanted at the back.

They blasted music too loud for any of the other's liking on a small wireless speaker Jimin had brought along, singing and shouting the lyrics on the top of their lungs, that seemed quite incoherent and made Seokjin's head ache with a faint throb.

Seokjin decided letting the youngest three sit together at the back, was one of the worst decisions he could have ever made. He wondered how Yoongi could even keep his eyes shut in the presence of the three.

Had he been sitting any closer to them, he would've backhanded the three of them and taken away the speaker but he wasn't. So he decided against it, letting them have their fun and keeping his eyes on the road, muttering to himself to keep his poise and lips sealed shut.

As they arrived, Seokjin parked the car by a tree. He shook Yoongi gently to wake him up, who groaned in response before rubbing his nose and sitting up and while Hoseok and Namjoon tried to convince the youngest three to turn the music down and get off.

It took them promptly ten minutes to get off the car and onto the sand. Seokjin took out a dotted sheet from the trunk and spread it across the golden sand. Taehyung assisted help, carrying the baskets with Seokjin.

Jimin was quick to run to the shore, briskly drowning his legs up to his knees into the calm waves of the sea, Hoseok abetting him. The waves were warm and dainty, swooshing into the sand and swallowing some of it away.

The faint echo of the waves of the dark sea made the atmosphere couthy and welcoming. It was empty and vacant, being a tad bit far from the metropolis, thus nobody bothered to visit. Albeit Taehyung could hear the faint murmur of a busy city faraway and distant horns of cars rushing in the daytime.

A sudden splash of water on his face blinked Taehyung back into the moment. He could hear Jimin and Jungkook's loud laughter blending into eachother's as he briskly proceeded into the water. The dark blue waves wrapped around his legs and he felt himself relax. He sinked his hands into the water and spattered it onto the both of them, unknowingly splattering it on Namjoon who stood by Jimin.

Seokjin sat down besides a sleepy Yoongi, handing him some sandwiches he had packed with Jungkook before leaving. He took out his camera, setting the lens to snap pictures as he watched the boys play.

"Children, all of you. I'm stuck with children." He mumbled to himself earning a scoff from Yoongi.

Hoseok padded back towards the sand, feeling it stick to his bare feet. He sat down besides Yoongi, opening one of the bottles of tequila and pouring it into his plastic cup.

The rest of the evening, the boys spent by splashing water onto eachother, Seokjin and Yoongi joining somewhere in between and then drinking bittersweet tequila, which Taehyung and Hoseok absolutely hated, and devouring snacks.

It was around six when the boys settled down onto the sheet to watch the sunset, listening to the soft murmur of the waves and breathing in the distinctive, delightful smell of the sea. The setting sun brought light hues of seven different colours into the sky, just a bit above the sea, that echoed and reflected each shade. And Taehyung swore this had been the calmest he had felt, as stress slipped past his fingertips and whooshed away with the winds during the balmly evening. The soft, golden sand had accompanied him as well as Seokjin, when the older had laced his fingers somewhere in between the moment.

"Pretty, isn't it?" Seokjin whispered and Taehyung found himself recalling the previous night when he had seen the stars in Seokjin's eyes, except this time it felt different, and Seokjin's heartbeat felt much closer to his own, each beat utterly synchronised with his own.

"It is." He murmured, eyes not once leaving Seokjin. He wondered how Seokjin's dishevelled ash locks and his pale skin bended so perfectly with the sunset and created a complete painting, all on a single canvas. "So are you."

The words slipped past his lips before he could swallow them. He didn't know what it was that caused him to do so, but when Seokjin's lips tugged up from the corners and his face turned to the side to hide his grin, Taehyung knew he couldn't have had the moment any different.

The night was exquisite and sublime, all the stars in the galaxy coming together in one rhythm to follow one single pulse, to assemble the moment and make it how it was. Yoongi had his arms around Jungkook, peppering his boyfriend's face with light kisses as he smiled, moving even closer to the other than he already was, while Namjoon and Jimin were laid down together, legs tangled and glances happy and quick.

And Hoseok, he gazed them all with a smile painted across his face and eyes full of awe and adoration towards the boys, happy and content.

Seokjin stood up, brushing his clothes and turning to glance at Taehyung. He extended his hand for Taehyung to grab it, so he did.

Padding to the shore, Seokjin grabbed both of Taehyung's hands and laced their fingers. "I think," he started, gaze soft and words gentle. He slowly rubbed the pad of his thumb over Taehyung's hand in circular motions before he spoke again.

"I like you."

I mean i never thought I'd write more than 5 chapters lol it was supposed to be a oneshot.

If i have the motivation, or if people actually want to read more i may extend it to 15 chapters or more??
