The car pulls up in front of Seth's mansion. It's a beautiful villa, with one of those Infiniti pools. The security asks me my business here and they let me in.
Inside, it's almost as-if not more-beautiful then the exterior. The architecture reminds me of the church I used to attend on Sundays.
"Right this way, miss Avalon." says a preppy woman in a sky blue blouse and matching pencil skirt. A silver name tag informs me that her name is Jane. Probably Seth Robbins's assistant.
She led me down a few majestic halls, until she stops at a door. She opens the door for me and I thank her. She simply smiles and nods. I wonder if she gets the appreciation she deserves when she opens doors for people. I hope she does. I enter the room and look around, but my eyes are immediately drawn to a figure sitting in an armchair by the tall window on the right side of the room.
He looks even better in person. His brown hair is glistening in the sunlight coming from the window, as are his deep and captivating eyes. His lips form a smile and he bares his teeth, whiter then liquid corrector. Seth was the definition of perfect.
"It's nice to finally meet you." I say with a smile.
He turns away from the window and gazes into my eyes. "Uh-hun. You too."
I notice that there still is a massive amount of security personnel around us. "Is there any way we could talk in private?" I ask.
He looks at me suspiciously, but then waves away the security.
"I'm not actually here because I'm a fan." I admit. "I'm here because I need your help."
"How may I be of service?" He says sarcastically.
"I want to get even with some people." I explain my intentions. "The only way to do that would be to date someone."
He laughs. "Why me? And don't take this personally, but what's in it for me?"
I knew this was coming. "Publicity. Headlines. Drama. Gossip. I'm kind of a big deal too. If you agree, it'll be for a few months and you'll receive a salary."
"I can already see the headline: Hollywood's Favorite Bachelor Seth Robbins caught with Best Actress nominee Avalon Aire." He says. "I have to admit it's kind of catchy."
Now it's my turn to laugh. "It sounds like we were arrested or something."
"What would I have to do?" He asks.
This makes my heart jump. Could he actually be interested in fake-dating me? "You would be expected to be seen with me in a few places. Tweet a few lovey things about me. Maybe being me as your date to something."
"Sound like fun. I'll do it."
