I woke up today, sweating from another nightmare. This tended to happen often, once every two nights or so?
I got up from my *bed* at least that's what the guards call it. Its actually just a metal plank hung by some metal chains.
In case you dont know already, I'm a servant for the royal family. I was left on Mr smiths doorstep when I was little and he took pity on me.
Growing up in a dungeon in the Palace wasn't always easy, and no one expected it to be. But ever since the age of 5 out of the blue I started getting really bad nightmares, they were almost like flashbacks. It was horrifying, not being able to do anything to stop the awful things that would happen. But I've grown used to these nightmares, how couldn't I? I've had the same ones on repeat for 13 years.
Anyways... I'm getting sidetracked here.
I walk to the *door* aka cell gate to look at the piece of paper taped onto my door which would have my chores written on it for the rest of the day.
Clean kitchen
Mop corridors
Make lunch
Serve Prince levi's lunch
Tend to the Palace garden
Feed the horses
'pretty easy today I wonder if I'll have time to catch up on that book I was reading'
As a Palace servant I am surrounded by royals which is why we are told to..
-never speak unless spoken to.
-always watch your language
-and to never ever have a relationship of any sort with a royal
These rules keep us out of trouble and that is why I still have this job.
I walked up the stone staircase that leads directly to the main corridor and went straight to the kitchen where the other servants were preparing food for the royal family.
The people in the kitchen at the moment were the only person who didn't hate or judge me.

He was very shy when I first met him, a couple years back but now I can barely ever get him to shut up. He's my best and only friend in this palace and it seems it might stay that way for a long time to come...
