ryuji sighed,taping the last box of his things he had. he looked around, his room empty and devoid of his things.he moved all his boxes into his car, but he thought taking one good look at his room would do him some good.but it didn't. it filled him with nostalgic memories, mostly good memories with a hint of sadness he couldn't seem to shake off. it brought back the memory he hated the most. god forbid ryuji thinking about the memory. ever since it happened, he played it over and over. seeing him die over and over. the blood on the wall. the blood that splattered against the dark. the deep red blood that stained his noir hair. the soulless eyes. the dead smile. he'd reached his hand,but in a failed attempt to save him.
"akira!!!"

"are you sure you want to move,honey?" ryuji's mom said. "i think it's a little too early for you to move so soon." ryuji's mother waited for a response,but was met with uncomfortable silence. "ryuji,if this is about akira..." ryuji immediately looked up at his mother's face, his eyes full of anger. "it's not that!" he angrily spat. he looked again at his mother, feeling guilty for his outburst. "i just need to start a new life in new place,that's all." he said,quietly. ryuji's mother hugged ryuji, tears threatening to spill from her eyes that held so much love and concern for her son. "i will always be here ryuji." she said, a smile full of warmth. "call me if you need anything." his mother hugged him, it'd be the last hug he'd have in a while. "you can always come back home if you need to." "ok." ryuji smiled.

his mother waved goodbye as his car left the driveway. as he left, he would be leaving all the bad and good memories in search of new mysterious ones. in search of another reason to live. he firmly gripped the steering wheel, making sure he doesn't lose his grip on it. he was heading to osaka. to his grandparent's farm, he needed to move and clear his head of the clutter that made a home in his head.

akira and ryuji layed in bed holding each other close, but too close in silence. akira placed a quick peck on the tip of ryuji's nose, earning a rosy blush from a surprised ryuji. ryuji retaliated by smothering akira in quick pecks all over his face. "h-hey!" akira breathed out. "that tickles!" ryuji stopped, laughing. akira decided it was prime time to get back at ryuji. he softly kissed his lover's jawline,each kiss trailing down further and further until akira was at ryuji's waist. ryuji looked at akira, both of them blushing quite hard. time seemed to stop in it's tracks. akira flashed ryuji a mischievous grin. "do you mind?" the noiret murmured, his voice husky with a hint of lust. ryuji looked away from akira, his face a shade that shamed the red red rose. "go ahead..."

ryuji slightly smiled at the memory. it made him forget the life he'd live for a split second, then going back to the life that was set for him now. he sighed, looking at the rear mirror, looking at his reflection. his eyes seemed more cloudy as usual. he darted his eyes away from the mirror and onto the road once more.

akira yawned, it was late in the night. he walked into ryuji's room and flopped on top of ryuji with no warning from the noiret. ryuji yelped. "you should've told me you were gonna do that!" ryuji said, pouting. "i guess you never saw it coming." akira said, playfully sticking his tongue out at the blonde male. "why you!" ryuji said, tackling akira on the bed. by the time the play fight was over, ryuji was on top of akira. "well, this is pretty awkward." a few seconds of silence passed them. "well, are you gonna kiss me or what?" akira said, crashing his lips onto ryuji's,bringing him back down to earth. "i think you already did."

ryuji cursed himself for going back to those shared memories like a lovesick fool. he knew he was better than that. but he also knew he craved those memories. they were like sugar to him; completely and utterly irresistible. after all, they were the only thing he had of akira kurusu, his first love. and last.

"hey ryuji." akira said, looking at the stars. "hm?" ryuji answered, looking at akira's eyes. akira's eyes were one of ryuji's favorite things about akira. no matter how much he stared at him, he could never tell what emotion akira felt. his eyes were like a ocean. sometimes it frustrated ryuji. "if i die, would you ever date someone else?" akira looked at ryuji in the eyes. for the first time in the two years the two men dated, he could clearly see an emotion in akira's eyes. insecurity. ryuji brought akira into his arms, enveloping the noiret in warmth and love. "akira kurusu." ryuji murmured, almost afraid if the heavens would hear and smite him. "ever since i met you, the platonic feelings i had for you when we started out as friends became something more. i grew to love you and everything that makes you you."
"if i hadn't love you, i would've said so. but i don't. i love you akira kurusu." ryuji said, kissing akira's tears away. "so much." "please continue to stay with me, even after death." akira breathed.
