Starting from a corner then engulfed entirely
Like a wall covered up with poison ivy
Creeping up with such ease
Ignorant on unseen pleas
Loud wailing or silent tears
Piercing scream or numbed senses
A chain of whimper or a dark hole
Changing the beliefs of a soul
It demands to be felt
Just like Augustus said
Its anguish could melt
A cold heart shred
It is part of the cycle
Like an old recital
Because there is no gain
If there is no pain.
