Now I'm fallin' heavily, recklessly
I sat in a booth down at the diner when I saw Natasha walk in.
She sat down in front of me and snapped her fingers in front of my face
"Hey. You were miles away." She said
"Hi" I replied
"Do you want to go up and order anything or shall I go?"
"I go with you"
Trying not to lose my sensibility
"Clint, do you want anything?" Natasha asked.
"I have the same thing as you"
She ordered the food and then said to me "Hey are you okay you just seem a little bit off. Has something happened?"
"I'm fine"
"Sure"
We went and sat back down at the booth and there was silence for a few seconds or so.
"So, how come you moved here?" I asked her.
"Well, my parents used to move around a lot before they adopted me so I just had to adjust with them but for some reason they now want me to have a normal life like other teenagers do"
But gravity, it pulls me into you
"Why didn't I come down here sooner? This food is so good!"
"Yeah," I said softly
"Okay. What's wrong? You're being quiet"
I ignored her question for a few seconds because there was nothing the matter with me. I was just enjoying being with Nat and forgetting about everything.
"Nothing Nat, I'm fine."
"Nat?"
I started to feel myself go red in the face as I called her that. "I thought it could be a good name for you..." I started to trail off.
She started to smile.
We're just a couple of kids
"I like it. It's nice. It's just that nobody has called me that before or shortened my name..." She started to trail off.
"Do you want to get out of here as we've finished?" I suggested
"Sure. Where do you want to go?"
"Wherever you want to"
We're just a couple of kids
We walked out onto the cold street outside of the diner. I looked over at Nat and her eyes were glowing from looking at the diner sign.
"You wanna keep walking?" She asked.
Sneakin' out late for a kiss
The rain started pouring down as we walked down the quiet street.
Nat turned around to look at me and said "Do you want to go back to the field where the barn is? I know it's quite late"
"Yeah"
We took a slow walk to the field and when we got there Nat looked up at me.
"Hey," She said softly.
She put her hand on the back of my head, went on to her tiptoes and stared into my eyes for a few seconds and then pulled me into a kiss.
I wished this moment could have lasted a lifetime.
She pulled away and put her forehead against mine.
Cause we're just a couple of kids.
She started walking away and said, "I have to go home now Clint. Bye" She then gave a small wave.
It started raining even heavier and I stood there and then walked off back home.
