Hi! I'm S.O.L.A.S.! Systematic Operations of Logistics And Safety! I'm here to teach you more about the Cyberworld. You, the reader, don't need to go through all the information I'm going to give you, however, if you have a question the answer is most likely within these paragraphs. If you still have any questions afterwards, I'll be happy to answer them!

As you are currently aware of, the year is 2077. The majority of the human population have cybernetic implants of various sorts, giving them a variety physical and mental upgrades. Examples include: weapons hidden in prostheses, such as guns, bombs, and blades of different sizes. Blades are rather popular, since you can use them for climbing as well as maiming. Prosthetic parts also offer reinforced protection and make an individual stronger. There's even certain a certain type that is unable to be penetrated by bullets! However, those are quite expensive, and also illegal unless you have special permission. There are also fun and non-lethal implants, such as pop up holographic screens that give you access to the internet if you don't have a cyber brain, and automatic translators

There are also implants that heighten your senses. Such as prosthetic eyes that give you night vision and enhanced sight, or show you news updates, texts,or videos in real time. There's also a special implant that allows you to gather basic information on people and objects just by looking at them. Height, weight, cyber parts they have, and anything else that might be found online. That is, unless that individual has completely encrypted their data.

Speaking of data, the vast majority of the population have data ports on the back of their neck. This allows people to share information amongst themselves. This can either be done wirelessly, a process that can be accepted or denied by the other person, or by plugging in to their data port with your cord. The latter can be done against a persons will, which is, again, illegal, but rather easy if one wanted to disable another. Easy, that is, if you know how to hack. First, you have to get through the security barriers set up in that persons mind. A normal person may have one or two, depending on how paranoid they are. A more skilled hacker, law enforcement or government official, or something of the sort, is likely to have at least three, if not four security barriers. The maximum is five, and usually reserved for extremely important officials or top secret government projects. If an individual were to go beyond five, their mind starts to fall apart! Continuing on, if a person were to get through an individuals security barrier(s), they could access the network that person is on, and subsequently access other people on that same network. Isn't the internet amazing?

If a person has a cyber brain (which is more common than some may think), it means their consciousness is downloaded into that artificial brain. Their entire personality, all their memories, their life itself, transferred from one brain to another, and fit inside their body. This allows people to transfer to synthetic bodies or change body parts, which means gender and sex are interchangeable. While we're on that topic, race and sexuality are also inconsequential. Rather, biases are based on religion and whether or not a person has cybernetics. There are religions that shun cybernetic implants and even the people who have them. However, if an individuals body dies, their consciousness can be downloaded into machines, or the internet. The latter of the two is left to wander the endless online system until they either fade away, lose sense of who and what they are and merge with the numbers, or are pulled out and downloaded into a body.

I am not a living thing! I am an A.I., artificial intelligence, which means I have no soul, or as most people call it, a ghost. A ghost is nearly impossible to replicate, try as anyone might, and there has only been one instance of it, which is surrounded by doubts and conspiracies.

Annie Marie, the human I was created for, has a syndrome called Disnetic Disorder, which makes it impossible for her to get mods, cybernetic implants, prostheses, or synthetic parts of any sort. There isn't much known about the disorder or how it works, due to the fact of how rare it is. There is a one in two and a half million chance a person is born with this disorder. Out of a population of around nine billion, this means only around three thousand five hundred people on the entire globe have it.

I hope I was able to help teach you more able the world we live in! See you soon!
