Chapter 5. Vampyro

(Y/N)'s POV

Eva was telling some story, which I didn't particularly care about. After the last adventure with the puddlies. All of a sudden everyone began to laugh except for Amalia and I. "Did I miss something?" I asked.

"I was just-" Eva started to speak but then Amalia covered her mouth. "No, (Y/N) you did not miss anything." Amalia stated. The road ahead looked gloomy, but that wasn't going to stop adventurers like us.

-Time skip because the show has one-

As we walked down the eerie, dark road Yugo asked Dally what we we're all wondering. "Are you sure we have to go through here to get to Oma island?" Yugo asked. "Yeah, I don't like this place." I said quietly.

"According to the map, we have to go through the village.." Dally replied, but didn't finish his sentence. He continued to look and shift the map around in his hands. "The name of the village...is uh.. Forfut Village" He stated.

"Yes. You've got no choice. Don't worry, its a nice place. Very lively" The map said. I rolled my eyes and crossed my arms. "By the looks of it, I beg to differ..." I whispered. "Lively?" Yugo asked. 

"Nature is twisted here. Its like there are shadows moving through the village." Amalia stated. As Amalia was talking Ruel finally ate the disgusting old fish he's had for the whole day. "Very good." He coughed out and then breathed his stinky fish breath on Amalia.

"Ew! Hey, you wrinkled old bwork, could you please not talk right into my nose?!" Amalia stood on her toes to defend herself.

We continued walking to Forfut village. "Maybe we can get food?" I asked, in hopes to lighten the mood. "Or some rest?" Yugo asked. "Lets hope we wake up again." I joked. "Now, to find the finest inn in town. I could eat a Boowolf." Dally declared.

"Me too, I'd eat the fur off a goballs back!" Yugo exclaimed. Dally cheerfully walked down the dimly lit roads, us following behind. I could tell people were looking at us weirdly but i shrugged it off.

I noticed that Amalia had spotted the strange inhabitants of this weird village as well. One girl on the roof smiled at me and her weirdly. To be polite I put a fake smile on and smiled back. "Ah, finally, an inn!" Dally exclaimed. 'Auberge Le Chauve Sour it' I repeated in my head.

Dally threw open the doors to see a....not very 'lively' in. "Salutations friends!" He yelled. "I am Sir Percedal, savior of the world! My companions are tired, and hungry from battle." He continued. 

I tapped him on the shoulder. "Percy, I think your over doing it here?" He of course...didn't listen. "Bring us your finest dishes!" He yelled again. He finally opened his eyes and saw the dreary inn that everyone else was staring at.

His happiness went from a 9 to a 3, real fast. What was worse was that no one in the inn seemed to be reacting to our 'grand appearance' and instead just staring blankly at nothing. We all stood there.

"Well looking at the clientele, I don't think we've come across the local fast food establishment." He exclaimed as Dally finally put his arms down. "I suggest we get out of here before we find ourselves in the same state" Ruel whispered to us as he gripped his shovel.

"I agree" I whispered back, grabbing my (W/O/C). And of course...Yugo's stomach rumbled. "I don't think my stomach agrees with you, (Y/N)" Yugo said as he put his hand over his stomach.  "I need to eat something." Yugo continued.

"Mine does too, but I'm not eating those bowls of mush." I stated. "As my father used to say, 'Nibble every day, live to eat another day.' " (Is it just me or am i getting ms.Frizzle vibes from ruel?) Everyone looked at him, clearly annoyed that we had to eat here of all places.
