Chapter 3

(Quick little A/N, how's your day going?)

(Y/N'S) pov

"Everything gets blamed in ogrest, and no one even knows if he exists." Ruel spat out as everyone walked towards the tree. It was large, and looked like it was dying. I could tell Amalia was upset.

"What's the matter?" Evangelyne asked. Amalia frowned "I...I felt something" she said, then continued. "An ancient, evil presence. We really aren't welcome here." She said as her eyebrows arched downwards.

"Really? We'll I'll have to give them some hospitality lessons!" Dally said as he readied is sword. I decided to get out my (W/O/C). "Show-off!" rubilax really was a mean shushu.

"Woah! I've never seen such a big tree in my whole life." Yugo said, his eyes shining. "neither have I" i replied, staring at the tree. "He's been affected, too." Amalia said, worry filed her eyes. "that machine there. I pulverized one of those back in Emelka" Ruel said, then we heard a groaning sound, i couldn't put my finger on what it was though.

Suddenly some birds were cawing at us. They looking angry, what did we do to them? "My instinct tells me we aren't the first ones on the scene" Ruel said, staring at the tree. He laughed shortly "The good thing about brave adventurers is their pockets are always full of Kamas!" 

I sighed. all he thinks about is Kamas from the minute i met him. He put his bag down and picked a kama up, throwing it in the bag. The groaning had gotten louder. Something began to arise from the pile of junk. i gasped with confusion. "Hey, relax! I just hate seeing waste." Ruel stepped back as the creature came towards him.

"Thats what attacked me in the middle of the night!" Dally said as he got into a fighting pose. "i can see why you were scared!" I yelled to him. He smiled. "Least one person is on my side" he said quietly.

"Treechnids!" Amalia shouted. The large creature of wood came face to face with us. Amalia screeched a little as we all backed up, signaling she was scared. More came out of no where and surrounded us! "Set me free peasant, its your only chance!" Rubilax stated. "No. Never again demon!" Dally said as his eyebrows arched downwards.

 I got out my (W/O/C) and looked around to see Evangelyne about to shoot an ice arrow at one of the treechnids. "looks like we don't have a choice! Time to attack!" Ruel shouted. "Take one each!" Evangelyne said. Roots shot up from the ground as I steadied for an epic battle.

Amalia had made brambles come out of the earth and latch themselves onto one of the treechnids, ripping it apart. As I was watching her another treechnid came and hit me. I flew backwards hitting a tree behind me. "You've made me mad now!" I yelled, getting back up and running at it. I cut off its small branches, then giving it one final blow to the face, which did the trick quite nicely.

I stood there, huffing and puffing while others fought. Dally was finished. "Hey, (Y/N) you ok?" He asked coming up to me. I must have looked like a wreck. "yeah i'm ok Percy" i smiled at the nickname i had given him. 

"Percy?" he asked. I nodded "its a nickname, silly" I smiled.

Percedals pov

Something about her smile made butterflies fly in my stomach. As her (e/c) eyes glanced over to me it felt as if I was in a dream.  Everyone had finished fighting by now. "Last but not least...my frozen arrow!" Evangelyne shot her arrow at the treechnid. He froze, obviously!

(Y/N)'s pov

Me and Percedal walked over after Evangelyne had shot the arrow. Percy laughed slightly. "Not bad for a doddery, old enutrof." Evangelyne said, raising one eyebrow. Ruel shrugged his shoulders
