Mr. Brightside - The Killers)
Getting home, you sighed. The meeting with your boss' son had gone..well. But only because he didn't actually care enough to put any effort towards the plans. You tried to ignore it as you looked at your phone, which was bombarded by messages from your boyfriend, Yuuto. You knew he had been texting you to apologize about his drunken state a while ago. Sighing, you put your phone away and take a shower, being quick as to not waste any water. You kept getting calls from Yuuto. He must have been desperate to apologize, you thought. Soon enough you actually answer.
"What can I do for you today, Yuuto?" you sighed.
"(Y/n), baby.." he began. You glanced to the side then back at your ceiling.
"If it's about last night then I don't wanna hear it. You knew what you were getting into." you said. You weren't going to fall for it like last time. Fool you once, shame on him, fool you twice, shame on you.
"I know, but I still want to apologize for the way I acted. Thanks for coming by anyway and trying to take care of me. I was a real jerk." he stated. Your heart squeezed a little bit at his words.
"It's..fine. We should meet up later." you told him. You kind of wanted to just look past the whole ordeal.
"Sounds good! We should go to that diner you really like." he replied. You could hear him moving some papers around in the background so you knew that he was doing homework.
"Yeah. Hey, I hear my sister, so I gotta go." you said, beginning to get up at the sound of the door shutting.
"Tell Ocha I said hi!" he said, before hesitating. "I love you, (n/n)." he finished. You paused at his words and blushed faintly, a smile creeping up on your lips.
"I love you too." you replied before hanging up. You felt like you were on cloud nine due to being told such simple words. You go out to meet your little sister.
"(y/n)!" Ochaco said, jumping on you with a hug. You laughed slightly and hugged her back.
"How was school?" you asked the girl as you led her into the kitchen to begin dinner.
"It went really well! We're going to be training at this place called the USJ later on this week. Search and Rescue missions!" the jovial girl replied. You smiled in response to her words as you began to cut some vegetables. "I hope you have a good time then, and that you get a good grade."
"Oh I will!" she cheered. You had no idea what you would do without Ochaco. She was the light of your life and nothing could change that. She brought so much joy to your day that you would probably be miserable without. You thought about it for a while and then suddenly remembered.
"Hey, Ocha. Do you know a guy by the name Shouto Todoroki?" you inquired. Ochaco looked at you. "Of course!" she responded. "He's the coolest guy in the class! His Quirk is so strong! Why do you ask?"
"Oh, no reason. Turns out he's the son that we're building the agency for." you said. Ochaco's eyes sparkled.
"He's so lucky! I want to have an agency in the future!" she said, punching the air. You giggled a little and pulled her over to you so she could help you cook.
"He seemed a little stuck up to me when I first met him." you said. "He acts like an entitled brat."
Ochaco blinked for a second and then tilted her head. "But you said not to judge others by their first words. We gotta get to know them first. He didn't seem that mean at first."
You thought about her words for a second. "You're right, as usual. Dad is making me meet with this kid because we're closer in age and I could get more information outta him." you said. Ochaco looked rather interested but decided not to ask any further.
"I could put in a good word for you at school!" Ochaco said with a smile. You smile back and glance at your phone, seeing a text from Yuuto.
