About a couple weeks went by and soon Mizuko's last day of middle school approached and ended in a flash. With the help of her father, Mizuko filled out an application to UA. Though she knew that really wasn't how you get in, it was just her father making sure they knew who they were dealing with.

"Why must you be so extra Father?" Mizuko asked. Her father laughed.

"Why? We are Akari's! I have to make sure you get in." He then muttered something but Mizuko didn't catch it.

"What did you say, dad?" Mizuko asked.

"Nothing important." Her father responds. She shrugs and walks to her room. She changes into appropriate training clothing and walks downstairs. "And where are you going?"

"Out. I need to get ready for the entrance exam." Mizuko said and then grabbed the doorknob and leaving.

Somewhere in the woods on the outskirts of the city

"Here should be...huh?" Mizuko started to say before she saw a boy with half white and half red hair. She kept quiet. That's Endeavors youngest son Shoto. But, what's he doing here? Mizuko thought to herself. She took a breath. "E-Excuse me?" He looked at her.

"Can I help you?" Shoto asked her.

"Sorry for coming out of nowhere. I came here to train, for the UA entrance exam. Um, what's a Todoroki son doing in the outskirts of the city?" Mizuko asked. He doesn't look at her.

"Same reason you're here. Training. But unlike you, I got recommended and I'm training for the test day." Shoto says.

"O-Oh! Cool." She walks over to him and holds her hand out. "Akari, Mizuko Akari." He shakes her hand.

"You already know my name don't you?" Shoto said. She pulls her hand back.

"Shoto Todoroki. Youngest son of the popular hero Endeavor." Mizuko says. He shudders and takes a few steps away from her. "You alright?"

"Fine. I should get going." He says and walks away.

"O-Oh, bye...." She frowns. She then starts creating waves and firing them in different directions. Changing the state on some. Little does she know that Shoto is watching.

"That's quite the quirk you got." Shoto says. Mizuko jumps.

"O-Oh. Thanks....it definitely doesn't compare to yours though." She says. He doesn't respond. He just walks off again and lets her train. "H-Hey! Wait!" He stops.

"What is it?" Shoto asks.

"Could you possibly help me in hand to hand combat? That's the only fighting style I'm not quite good with." She gives a smile. He stares at her. Thinking.

"I don't see why not. It gives me more time away from home...." He says muttering the last part.

"Really?! T-Thank you!"

A few hours pass and Shoto and Mizuko had gotten to get to know each other a little. Soon Shoto leaves leaving Mizuko by herself. She decides to leave as it was getting dark.

"I'm home!" Mizuko yelled.

"Oh! Out training I presume?" Her mother asks.

"You guessed it." She walks off to her room and shuts the door. She flops down onto her bed and sighs. "Today was quite the day." She sits up and changes into something comfortable and lays back down on her bed.

"Mizuko dinner is done~!" Her mother yells. She sits back up.

"Coming Mother!" Mizuko calls and runs down the stairs. She nods at her father and grabs a plate.

"I made your favorite! Hot Soba!" Her mother says. Mizuko smiles.

"I appreciate it, Mother. I'll clean up after dinner as a thanks."

"Oh, honey you don't have to. I can do it." Her mother argues.

"No no, I insist!" Mizuko says.

"Alright then." Her mother takes a seat and eats.

"How was training?" Mizuko's father asks.

"It was good. I came across a certain somebody and he helped me with hand to hand combat." Mizuko said happily.

"He?" Her Mother said.

"U-Uh yeah! I met a certain somebody today. He's also an aspiring hero, and also seems to like training in the woods on the outskirts of the city." She clears her throat. "It happened to be the youngest son of Endeavor." Her Father's eyes widen.

"S-Shoto Todoroki?!" He bursts out.

"Y-Yeah. Shoto." She smiles a little.

"But what was a Todoroki son doing out there?" Her father asked.

"Training as well apparently." Mizuko responds.

"Interesting." Her father says rubbing his chin. He then stands up. "I'll be in my office if either of you two need me." He walks off.

"You can go too Mother, I'll clean up dinner." Mizuko says standing up as well.

"Alright, hun. Just don't make a mess."

"You know I don't make messes." Mizuko laughs.

"I know, I know." Her mother says and walks off.

Mizuko quickly cleans up dinner being sure not to do it lazily. She washes her hands when she finishes and walks off to her room. She sits down on her bed when she gets a text from Izuku.

"Hey! Do you possibly want to hang out and go to the hero museum together tomorrow?"

"The hero museum again? We always go there together."

"I know! But, every time we go it's like a new experience!"

"Can't argue with that. I'll go. It'll be nice to hang out. I'll meet you at the train station at 8:30 tomorrow."

"Sounds good. I'll see you tomorrow."

"See you tomorrow Izuku!"

She puts her phone down and turns onto her side and sighs. "Oh Izuku. You still are as pure as you were when we were kids." She mutters. "Heh. That's a good thing though." She sits up and changes into pajamas. She lays back down and sets an alarm on her phone to wake her up at 7:40. She puts it down and pulls the blankets over herself and slowly drfts off to sleep.

BEEP BEEP BE-

"Ugh, yes yes time to get up." Mizuko groaned. She turned off her alarm and groggily sat up. Mizuko stood up rubbing her eyes. She went to her closet and grabbed a pastel aqua top and a white skirt to compliment the top. She then went to the family bathroom where she set the clothing down and ran the water.

She quickly undressed as she waited for the water to get warmer. When she finished she dried off her body and put on the clothes she had picked out. She plugged in the blow dryer and dried off her hair, separating it afterwards and tied them up in pigtails. Mizuko then glanced down at her phone to check the time. Still having 20 minutes to kill, she wrote a note and left it on the kitchen table telling her parents where she was. She then grabbed her wallet and left.

She decided to stop a diner to get herself some breakfast to eat quickly. She ordered a bagel and ate it quickly. Leaving the money on the table as she stood up to leave.

Mizuko ran to the train station fully aware that she didn't have to run. She knew that her friend was going to be early from being to eager to go. As she walked in the train station she immediately recognized Izuku's messy green hair. He was looking around for Mizuko. She slowly walked over to him and approached him from behind.

"Boo!"

Izuku jumped and spun around to look at Mizuko.

"Why did you do that? You scared me," Izuku whined.

"That's the purpose of it," Mizuko laughed. She hugged Izuku happily.
