Their world began when She turned two
From imagination Quinnland grew
A seed of wonder planted deep
Would come alive when the girl would sleep
And every morning she'd look real hard
For the fairies and creatures in her yard
That danced and played the night before
But come sun-up they were no more
"Mommy, Mommy, help me find
The fairies and creatures in my mind
I see them when I go to sleep
But when I wake they hide and seek"
"Oh, darling Quinn, you're on your own
For fairies don't come to those who've grown
They only appear to a special few
So be grateful, dear, that girl is you"
So Quinn began to sit and wait
For the fairies to show up at her gate
She'd lay her head and pretend to sleep
But open her eyes to take a peek
Eventually she'd drift away
To a land where her fairies would come and play
They'd dance and sing and carry on
But when she'd wake they'd all be gone
"Mommy, Mommy, help me please
My fairies come and go, they tease!
We have such fun, we dance and play
But when I wake they go away"
"Oh, darling Quinn, I can't help you
For fairies are magic, I thought you knew
They appear to children who open their mind
If you look real hard, a fairy you'll find"
So Quinn set out the very next day
To find her fairies so they could play
She wandered around her own backyard
She looked, and searched, but it was hard!
Then all of a sudden the backyard grew
Turned into a forest, and then Quinn knew
Her mind was open, the magic was real
And this mystical land had a special feel
"Mommy, Mommy, come and see
The fairies are real, they're in the trees
I opened my mind just like you said
I can see them now, not just in bed"
"Oh, darling Quinn, I'm glad you know
About the magic so it can grow
Imagination is a powerful thing
Its magic can create most anything"
From this point on, Quinn's land grew
With daily discoveries of something new
A secret cave, a magic sky
A golden tree, and dogs that fly
Spider webs that you can eat
Mossy grounds that tickle the feet
She'd find her way back everyday
To Quinnland where she'd happily play
"Mommy, Mommy, come with me
To meet my magic family
We'll dance and play and have such fun
And come home safely when we're done"
"Oh, darling Quinn, that's really sweet
To offer me your friends to meet
But as I've told you once before
These magic friends are only yours"
Sad that Mommy wouldn't play
And couldn't see Quinnland anyway
Quinn went off to be alone
To the magic forest that she'd grown
Her creature friends flocked to her side
With such excitement and such pride
For Quinn was their Queen and they wanted to see
Their little queen play happily
"Quinny, Quinny!" they all cried
"We've found you something, look inside
Beyond the ferns and golden tree
There's something that you've got to see"
"My darling friends, that's sweet of you
To cheer me up when I am blue
I love surprises, as you know
So, show me where I need to go"
One by one they fell in line
With their Queen in tow behind
Past the ferns and golden tree
Beyond the cave...then finally!
Quinn could see and shook with joy
Their big surprise...it was a boy!
"My name is Vinny" he declared
The mysterious boy looked brave, not scared
"Vinny? Quinny, that's my name!
We're like twins, one in the same!
Come explore my magic land
We'll have adventures, take my hand!"
"Oh, darling Quinn, this land is mine
But you can join me, that's just fine
Vinnland is a place for fun
We like to play with everyone"
So Vinny and Quinny joined their hands
They joined their minds, they joined their lands
Their two adventures now were one
With an endlessness for future fun.
