CHAPTER 2

One hour later I was standing in the woods.
What could he want from me?
Maybe he wanted me to do some pack duty?
But couldn't the beta do it for him?

" So you decided to come " Said Alpha Nathan appearing infront of me

"I had to since you are the alpha" I said with a bow of the head

" Where should I start " Alpha Nathan says with an exaggerated sigh

I chose to remain silent.

" As you know our pack was once the strongest in the world " he said and raised his eyebrows at me

I don't know where he is going with all of this.

" But now the midnight eclipse pack is on the top and now I intend to take that position back!" He all but roared

I flinched. He was right. The midnight eclipse pack has become the strongest pack in the world since Kaden Black has taken over when his father died one year back. He is known to be a ferocious Alpha.
But what does Alpha Nathan want to say?

" Will you not ask me how I will do this?" He said

"How?" I all but whispered

" Through you " he said with a sinister laugh that had me shivering to the bones.

" You will act as a spy in their pack and get me information that will be available to you as a luna " he said calmly

" l-lu-luna" I stuttered

" Yes you will distract that shit of an alpha as his mate and get that information for me" he growled

He is mad. He has gone mad. How could that be. He has lost his mind and is intend on making me loose mine too.

" But I am not his mate " I manage to say

" I have that managed. I have a witch impisoned. A very powerful one at that. She will cast a spell and make a fake bond between you two" he spat out

Is this the new Alpha? Alphas go to battle and fight for honour and their pack benefits!
Alpha Nathan is pure evil! Nothing else!
The pack will crumble with him as his Alpha and what will I do with this crazy plan of his. I will not fall prey to such a thing.
NEVER!

" Aren't you honoured? " He said with a sickly smile towards me

" I won't do this. Never! " I said with all the courage I could muster

" I know I know. I have that figured out as well. I will make it simple. Your brother is with me and one wrong move and he's dead. YOU WILL DO JUST AS I SAY" he said

How could one Alpha say that about his pack member. He is NO Alpha.
And what about my poor Ben. He will be traumatized. I have to save him and I will do anything for that.

" Why me?" I said while tears dripped from my eyes

" Because only you my dear are fit to be a luna" He said coldly and started walking away.

" Follow me" he commanded

He led me to an abandoned house in the woods. I can't do anything. I will just have to go along with this plan because Ben's life is at risk. It is in the hands of this monster.

We entered the house and I saw Ben sleeping there. I rushed to him.

"Don't wake him up. He doesn't need to know anything. He is just here for motivation" Alpha Nathan said cooly

I HATE HIM!

We went further to a room and a very beautiful young woman was sitting there. She had red hair like Chloe's but darker.

" She will be the one to perform the spell. Hurry and get it over with. I have more important things to do" said the monster

He doesn't deserve to be called an Alpha.

The witch came forward and took hold of my hands and chanted some unintelligible words . She started changing and soon she was an old woman infront of my eyes with white hair and alot of wrinkles. She let go of my hands and laid on the floor exhausted.

I COULDN'T BELIEVE MY EYES!

The spell had worn her out I thought. But I felt nothing.

" The spell will last for 14 days and will be broken at 12 at night" the witch spoke for the first time.

She looked at me like she wanted to say something but was afraid of the alpha.

Go to your home and don't tell a word of this to anybody or you know the consequences" Said the monster

" What about my brother?" I asked

" Tomorrow my men will drop you on midnight eclipse territory. After that I will release your brother but beware he is within my reach" he spat out

I just nodded.

"You are performing a duty for your pack. You should be proud. Just act like a nice little mate and distract that Alpha. Also get me that information about pack patrols and secret routes" he said it like it all's so normal

I nodded again because I just wanted Ben to be safe.

" And remember I will be keeping an eye on you. So don't dare tell anyone"
With that he led me out and closed the door behind him which two men came to guard. Oh so there are more people involved too.

The alpha transformed into his wolf and was off. I was left alone and started making my way towards my home.

Just hours before my life was perfect. As perfect as it could be anyway and now my world was turned upside down. How was I to be a fake mate of an alpha and such a dominant and feared one at that!
He was known for his power. THE NOTORIOUS KADEN BLACK!

He will find the truth right away and I will end up getting killed. I don't think a fake bond compares to the bond between mates.
And even if he doesn't suspect it how will I be his mate. That will be cheating on my real mate. My life is so messed up.

I shake my head to clear it from these thoughts and make my way inside my house.
I check my phones and see that I have several from Chloe asking me about Ben.
I tell her that he's home.

What will Chase and Chloe think when I am not here tomorrow? And what about Ben?
I know Ben will be well taken care of but I ought to write something for Chase and Chloe.

I just ended up writing that I will be gone for some time because there is something very important I need to do and I can't tell anybody.

Now how lame is that!

I just leave it on my desk and lay down on my bed. I need to get some rest because I know the alpha's men will come to take me at the crack of dawn tomorrow when everyone's sound asleep.
I fall into a sleep with dreams of mates.Both real and fake.
