"Sean Lew!" Was what Serris heard before hearing the front door slamming shut, the sound echoing throughout the house. She was at the kitchen baking some cookies when she first heard her brother and Kaycee having an argument in the garage that eventually led the teenage boy into storming out and leaving in his car. Sighing to herself, Serris wondered what they would have fought about this time.

Kaycee knew something was bugging Sean enough for him to stay silent throughout their thirty-minute drive home from a class at TMilly. All he did was stare at the road as he drove them back to his house. There was no talking, no jokes, not even music. At first, Kaycee didn't think much of it, but when they pulled up in his driveway and Sean went straight to his garage without as much as a single look at her, she knew something was up.
Sean's mood had suddenly shifted as soon as he saw some girls at the back of the studio rolling their eyes at Kaycee during her solo. He saw how they whispered in each other's ears, obviously talking about his partner. What made Sean angry was how oblivious Kaycee was as she made her way to them as soon as she finished her dance. He knew he shouldn't be annoyed at Kaycee who, out of her inherent kindness, still stayed friends with people who clearly mocked her behind her back. It unnerved him how people used his best friend for the views and the likes. Of all people, Sean knew exactly how it felt to be taken advantage of; that was the reason why he had gotten distant with a few people in the industry.
And that was why he was frustrated with the situation. Of course, he had tried telling Kaycee about the matter, but all he got from her was a 'Don't be ridiculous, Sean'. So he had let it slip that time.
Once inside the garage-turned-studiom Sean went straight to his laptop to set up the song they were going using for a concept video for their Youtube channel. Kaycee had just followed him into the room quietly, the reason behind Sean's foul mood eating her up. It always made her anxious whenever she thinks she had done something to make him angry.
"Hey," she tried getting his attention, her voice soft. She could tell he heard her. But Sean ignored her and acted like he didn't hear her, proceeding with what he was doing. He hated not talking to her on purpose, but he knew better than to open his mouth and risk saying something he'd regret after.
"Sean," Kaycee tried again a little louder. "Sean!"
"What?" He barked, finally facing her. He didn't mean to raise his voice. It didn't help that they both had a long day. They were both exhausted.
"Why are you angry?" Kaycee demanded, standing up from her spot in the middle of the floor. "Is there something I did?"
"No."
Kaycee waited for him to go on but he just turned his back on her. She waited for five minutes more before she had enough and spoke again.
"Sean, can you please say something?" His silence always made her uneasy. "Please," she whispered. But he heard her. He heard the hurt in her voice.
"What do you want me to say, Kaycee?" He snapped. He snapped because he hated being angry. He hated that he was angry because he genuinely didn't know what to tell her. He knew it would break her to know that two of the people she trusted were just using her.
And it definitely wasn't her fault he was acting this way.
"Anything! Just--" By now she was getting upset as well. "Just don't give me the silent treatment. You know I hate it when you don't tell me what's wrong. It makes me feel like you don't trust me,"
"Then stop being friends with people like Addie and Maya!"
"What?" She didn't understand how two of her friends were brought into their conversation.
