Everyone stopped. Namjoon clasped his hands to your face.
"What's wrong. Oh god, what's wrong?" Namjoon blurted- panic rushing to his face.
"Can I talk to my brother- alone" You stuttered quietly.
"Er, yer. Yer. Of course" He said slightly surprised, as he slowly left the room- looking back a few times hesitantly. The others followed him.
Seokjin slowly walked towards you, your eyes locked. Something between you both explained its self and you ran into each other's arms. Neither of you said anything, instead, you both just cried into each other. Arms desperately clinging to each other, shaking with the fear of losing one another again.
"Its- Its okay y/n" Soekjin sobbed, holding your head against his shoulder.
"I know. I know. We free" You said- pulling away a little to look at him in the eyes.
"Jin,"
"Yes,"
"I know. I remember, I remember him now."
Seokjin started blankly into your eyes, almost as if he wasn't surprised.
"I knew you hadn't forgotten." He whispered, tucking some hair behind your ear. "But what's more important is that he's not here to haunt us any more. And I know we will never forget what happened but he's not here so he can't hurt us anymore. Were safe" He whispered again. Squeezing you tight into his embrace.
"Let's go" He said, finally. You looked up at him as he whipped your tears away with his thumb, you both smiled and walked out hand in hand.
Once you left the room none of the boys said anything, there was just some kind of mutual understanding, some kind of metaphorical anvil that had been lifted from all of you.
In the back of your mind, you knew you still had to talk to Namjoon properly- just to clear a few things up, but right now you wanted to be with your brother. Both of you walking down a flight of stairs and out through a steel door and into Seokjins car, that was waiting outside.
The ride back to the house was far from quiet. You and Seokjin talked and laughed the whole way home- a mix of reminiscing and filling in each other about the years you had spent apart.
You had come to learn that after the accident, he had rushed you to hospital and paid for the best medical treatment but no matter you lost your memory of it anyway.
"But why didn't you stick around? Why didn't you start over with me?" You asked softly.
"I don't know y/n. I was scared. That night- somewhere in my mind I had already lost you. You were already gone."
"But I'm right here. I was right there, in the hospital."
"I know" He paused. " I know. I could have started again, yes. But where would we be then? You would have probably become soulless. A shell, if you had been involved with my kind of business"
"What do you mean?"
"I mean- if I had stayed next to you then you would have gotten involved with BTS and you would be a very different person now"
"Aren't I involved now?"
"Yes but you're older and after the accident, it was like you were a child again- you had forgotten a lot more than the doctors thought you would have, so as I said you would be a very different person- not a person, and besides things came up"
"What do you MeAn 'things came up?"
"The whole thing with our father coming back to try and kill you"
"So you wouldn't have come back if that wasn't going to happen?"
There was a long pause.
"no."
You were shocked. You had thought that he wanted to be a family with you again- even if it was just the two of you- but that clearly wasn't the case.
"Stop the car"
"y/-"
"I SAID stop the car" The shouted, clenching your jaw. The car slowly ground to a halt and you got out. Stepping out of the car you walked in a straight line into the forest that surrounded the house. You could hear the other cars stop and doors opening and closing, then their voices rung your name into the air like a defining siren. Every time they called you, you stopped understanding you nameless and less of yourself fell away, more and more like a shell. So bashed around that cracks were causing your soul to fall and crumble to the ground. Not crying not smiling just gazing into a life you could have had- into the endless possibilities of a fuller life you could have had with your brother- but everyone had always made decisions for you, people wanting to kill you, people kidnapping you.
"Y/N" You heard someone call, you were to caught up in your mind to recognise the voice.
"Y/N" The voice said again. The second time you stopped, the voice was closer. It didn't sound male.
"y/n" The voice said again, much closer this time. Over your shoulder. Creeping up your spine- the last syllable hanging off the end of its tongue. Letting it stretch till you didn't even recognise the sound anymore. You turned around.
"My child, what has happened"
