Blood Diamond

Chapter 1

Diamond POV.

"Get up Di" the masculine voice spoke, bouncing on the bed.
My eyes slowly opened taking in the light and the male on my bed.
The blurriness faded and Kayden's face became clear. His red eyes twinkled in the moonlit room as he looked down at me.

I got up, slowly, rubbing my eyes, trying to get the sleep away.

"What time is it?" I questioned, my groggy voice filling the dark room. Kay looked at me, his eyes narrowed at me, I racked my brains for anything that could have been said last night. It suddenly hit me,

"Di, we're going shooting tomorrow, you in?" My father's grim voice filled the room, causing me to start and end the train of thoughts going through my head.

I nodded, a small smile made its way onto my face.

"Good, Kayden you will get her in the morning."

He stood up, leaving the room.

"Oh, never mind..." I mumbled, earning a slap from Kayden.

I let out a whimper, earning another slap from him. I looked down, walking to the walk in closet, stopping abruptly when I heard a throat clear.

I quickly corrected my posture before walking to the closet once more.

From the time my mom died, when I was two, my father and brothers  took the role of raising me.

Where normal two year old girls would play with dolls and play dressup, I was made to learn all languages of the earth, dead and alive, use guns, fight, and do everything normal males would do.

I was home schooled and each one of my seven brothers was a tutor for something different.

Kyle, taught me all subjects which they learn in normal highschool's. Kevin, taught dance. Kayden taught posture, etiquette and everything to do with being female, Leo taught me how to fight, Max, acting, Nathan, control of emotions and face blanking and finally Orion, social skills and how to interact with people.

Out of all my teachers, Kayden was the worst. He often used to beat me if I did anything wrong. But after class, he was my best friend.

I walked out of the closet wearing my shooting outfit, looking at Kayden for the approval.
He nodded his head before turning on his heel and walking out of the room with me following behind.

We left our wing of the house, to the gather room to meet the others before we left the house.

After the shooting practice we walked into the family room where father requested a meeting for us.

I sat down on the chair furthest from door, looking up at my father as he started to speek.

"Di, you are going to school," His voice filled the spacious room. "For the rest of the school year."

"Why?" Orion asked.

I turned to look at him as he spoke. He was generally confused, like the rest of my brothers and me.

I already knew everything that they taught at school and at all the top universities so why would I need to go.

My father took a deep breath and continued.

"We have just gotten word that Micheal's son, Darren is attending Royal Academy. I need you, Diamond, to go and hurt him, badly."

Michael Donavart was the man who caused my mum to die. Our families hated each other from the beginning of time, no one knows why but we just do.

I nodded at my father.

"Hurt him badly as in what? Physically? Mentally? Emotionally?"

"All ways if possible." I nodded again." I'll leave you to discuss things with your brothers, if need be."

He left the room.

The room was silent for a moment everyone trying to absorb the information that was thrust in our faces.

"We're going shopping in an hour. Max, Orion and Nathan, come as well." Kayden instructed before dismissing us.

I walked to my room, took a quick shower while trying to sort out what was going on in my mind.

As I came out of the shower I found Max, Nathan, Orion and Kayden lounging on my bed all on their phones. I paused at the doorway before heading for the closet.

I came out wearing a floral dress and tangerine flats. Kayden nodded in satisfaction before leaving like he did earlier this morning. The boys and I trailing behind.
