I woke up with a sharp pain in my side. I groaned but it came out like a growl. Since when do I growl? Then all the events from yesterday came running back to me. What was poking me? I looked around and saw a stick. Stupid stick. I got up and stretched but stopped when I heard growls. I looked around and saw three wolves stalking towards me. One was a big tan wolf with brown markings. He was bigger than the others but not as big as an alpha. So he must be beta. He walked behind a tree and came out a few seconds later with sweatpants on. I scanned his body and almost drooled when I saw his six pack. People in my old pack were not that ripped. "Shift," he commanded. I grabbed my bag and walked behind the tree. Making sure that they couldn't see my body I changed quickly.
I walked out from behind the tree with my head down. "Look at me," he ordered. I looked up. "What are you doing on our territory?" "I ran away from the New Moon Pack," I answered strongly. "Why?" So I told him my story. In the end all of them were crying. "How would you like to join the Shadow Pack?" the beta asked. "Okay," I smiled. "My name is Ace by the way. And that's Eli," the dude who looked like a surfer,"And thats Jake," he looked like a prankster. "My name is Kadence." "Cool. Walk with us." So we started walking through the woods. "Our pack is small just seven people well now eight. There's Alpha Axel, Mackenzie, me, Eli, Jake, Alex, and Maddy. Maddy is Axel's honorary daughter," Ace explained,"And here is where we live." "Holy tree house," I whispered. It really was a tree house. There were rooms spread out all around the sturdy looking trees. In the center stood the biggest structure. Connecting them all were strong bridges. "The big house in the center is where all the bedrooms are. Don't worry there is more than enough bedrooms. So you will get your own," he assured. "How do you get up there?" I asked. He laughed and went to the tree that held the biggest house. He knocked on the wood and it slid open to reveal an elevator. "Whoa," I whispered and stepped inside.
The next thing I knew was that I was standing in a furnished office. Sitting at the desk was what seemed to be a god. He had black messy hair that framed his face perfectly. And his eyes, oh his eyes were a beautiful gold. "Excuse me?" the god snapped his fingers in front of my face with an amused smirk on his lips. Uh oh he caught me checking him out. "I'm Axel," he held out his hand. "Kadence," I shyly placed my hand in his. Instead of shaking it like I thought he would he kissed the back of it. I blushed which resulted in Jake snickering. So being the normal person I am I threw a banana from the desk at him. "Ouch," he muttered and rubbed his head. Axel chuckled and wrapped his arm around me,"Train her till she is fit enough to become our head trainer," he ordered. Ace nodded and dragged me out of the room.
