Patton had convinced Logan to go a song with him for fun. He wanted to do a duet, that both of them could do.

Patton looked through the songs and he found one. He smiled slightly as he looked at the song and desided on it.

He grabbed a microphone and gave one to Logan.

Logan had been half present as he was reading about robot engineering. He looked up and Patton smiled slightly and said "Ready Logan?"

Logan grabbed the microphone and stood up and Roman frowned slightly not sure why he wasn't chosen to do it.

Patton put on the song and pointed to himself as to tell Logan he was first.

The song started and Patton wasn't smiling anymore he seemed slightly more nostalgic.

"It was June
I was ten
I still think of that day now and then
A parade and a boy
And a crowd of thousands
He sat straight as a king
Only eight but so proud and serene
How they cheered
How I stared
In that crowd of thousands."

Patton still remembered when he met the more logical man. He was maybe 6 when Logan had come. Patton was in the mindskape playing with some toys when a boy with a book appeared.

"Then I started to run
And to call out his name
As the crowd on the road went wild
I reached out with my hand and looked up
And then he smiled"

Patton walked over to the other boy with a toy in his hands and said "I'm Patton and you are?"

Logan being a little quiet at the time just simply said "Logan."

"The parade travelled on
With the sun in my eyes he was gone
But if I were still ten
In that crowd of thousands
I'd find him again"

As the years went by Patton and Logan got closer and Roman and Virgil had came too.

Patton had when Virgil had came taken on a role for the youngest side as a father figure. Which lead him to not be as close with Logan.

Logan knew the musical it was from and leaned into it and did what he felt was write. He felt.

Logan said "You're making me feel I was there too."

That made Patton smile and he looked at Logan and said "Maybe you were, make it part of your story."

Logan looked at him and started "A parade"
Patton continued "A parade"
Logan smiled slightly and continued to sing "Passing by."
Patton repeated it "Passing by." As to make sure Logan was going to continue.

And he did. Logan started to sing.

"It was hot
Not a cloud in the sky
Then a boy
Caught my eye"

Logan had gotten to a place, a new one. He was maybe 6. He had one of his book but he was some where he didn't know. It was warm and looked to be by a window and he could look outside if he wanted. And all of a sudden an boy about the same age as him was beside him.

Both Logan and Patton sang the next line which was "In a crowd of thousands"

Roman had came maybe a year later when Thomas had learned to read and write. Both Logan and Patton helped Roman with the stories, with the games and with friends.

Logan looked at Roman for a second seeing the creative side in a type of aw but looked back to Patton.

"He was thin
Not too clean
There were guards
But he dodged in between
Yes, he made himself seen
In that crowd of thousands"

Logan clearly remember the day him and Patton had become friends. Patton had fallen and tripped but was also able to not have been taken by the other boy before the fall.

Logan remember that Patton wanted the brightest blue bandaid to stick out. To be visible.

"Then he called out my name
And he started to run
Through the sun and heat and the crowd
And I tried not to smile but I smiled
And then
He bowed"

When Roman came Logan remember that they used to play castle a lot. Well Patton and Roman would. Logan would sit and read or watch them until the day Patton came over and bowed smiling bright asking him to dance. Logan became happy for that one dance for a whole week.

Patton looked at him a little surprised, one that he knew the lyrics that well and two that Logan was smiling so he said the line "I didn't tell you that."

And he got a response from Logan "You didn't have to. I remember!"

They both smiled before they started to sing

"The parade travelled on
With the sun in my eyes you were gone
But I knew even then
In a crowd of thousands
I'd find you again"

It had been years since the dance. The boys had became 21. Patton had made brownies and went to Roman and Virgil first as he wanted to ask Logan something.

As Patton stood infront of the door he took a deep breath and knocked. Logan opened the door and Patton smiled and said "i made brownies and Logan i have a question.... could we maybe try something? It's not dangerous. Can i come in?" He was allowed.

When Patton had gotten inside he had put the brownies down and said "could we try to dance?"

Patton looked at him before bowing and said "your highness."

Logan looked at him before pulling him up and kissing him and said "no Pat it's just Logan." And they hugged. Both happy. And the boys on the couch, happy for them, Roman still in a slight shock but happy. Virgil was happy that it finally happened instead off them just coming complaining about it to him.

A.N: so the song is from Anastasia. It is crowd of thousands (with a few minor edits to fit) but hope you injoy it!
