Zayn's POV:
"So I've herd that you and your friends think that Elizabeth is Jennifer" the man in front of me told me, I nodded confused of what he's trying to tell me.
"Not trying to be rude.. But who are you?" I asked
"Michael.. Michael Austen" he started. My body froze. Is he what I'm thinking?
"As you know by my last name, I'm Elizabeth's father" he finished. He seems young to be a father of a 20 year old.
"So why am I here?" I asked confused
"Because I want you to get something very clear.. My daughter is not Jennifer, and you can tell all your friends that" he said firmly
"I know she may not be Jennifer, but she looks so much like her that-" he interrupted me
"No! She is NOT Jennifer.. And yeah true, she looks exactly the same as Elizabeth, but she's not her" he said.. hold up, how does he know they look alike? He doesn't even know Jennifer, that I know of..
"Wait.. How do you know Elizabeth looks exactly the same as, if you don't even know Jennifer? Or is it that your hiding something here" I asked getting up, he just looked away than down..
"I'm not hiding anything.. Let's talk this out, because I also know Jennifer is your ex" he said, I sat down again.
"Yeah Jennifer is my ex.. Why?" I asked confused, still not getting what he's trying to say.
"Jennifer is.. Jennifer is my daughter as well" he said.. Hold up, what?! How?!
"Your her father?.. So she's Elizabeth's sister?" I asked, he nodded.
"Yes Zayn.. Jennifer is Elizabeth's sister. They're twins" he finished. Wait what?! TWINS?!
"That can't be possible.. How come Elizabeth didn't even know her that day I confused her with Jennifer?" I asked, he looked at his window than back at me. "if they're sisters she supposed to know Jennifer" I said.
"I know.. Elizabeth doesn't remember Jennifer" he said sitting down.. I'm so confused right now.
"I don't get it" I said running my fingers through my hair.
"Elizabeth lost her memory right after Jennifer.. Left us.. She got in to depression and after a few days while she was trying to help one of her friends with something, she trip and fell down the stairs and hit her head with the wall. After that, I thought I was going to loose her too. But she survived, but lost her memory. And I don't want her to remember anything from the past, or she'll suffer from depression again" he said. Damn, know I get why he doesn't want us to mention Jennifer in front of Elizabeth. But what I don't get is that why Jennifer never mention having a sister? And she told me that her dad was dead..
"But how come I never saw you? Jennifer never mention that she had a sister, and she told me her dad was dead.. That she never met him. And also, her last name was Anderson" I said, he sighed and told me the whole story of how her mother took Jennifer away from him because he cheated on her mother. That reminded me when Jennifer.. When Jennifer got in a accident because of me. "And what happened to Elizabeth?" I asked
"I told her if she leaves with Jennifer than I would stay with Liza.. She didn't wanted to but agreed at the end. After 14 years, Liza found a pic of Jennifer in my office. She started asking questions, and I answered all of them.. And that's when she knew she had a sister apart from Emma" he paused.. Hold up! Emma?! Which one is he talking about?
"Emma? I remembered that Jennifer had a good friend name Emma" I said
"Yeah and that's her sister as well" he said.. I got confused again. Did Emma ever knew that Jennifer was her sister? "When Liza was a 4 months, my ex-girlfriend told me we had a baby, and she wanted to do abortion. I told her not to, to give me the baby so it can be with Liza, and she did but Emma never knew about Jennifer" he finished. So the two girls know nothing about their own sister? "And to confirmed what I'm saying it's true, here's Liza's birth certificate" he said and showed me a paper. I looked at it... he's right. it's not my Jennifer.. it's her sister Elizabeth.
"I don't understand.. I could almost swear it's Jennifer. The way they act, talk, walk, everything is the same" I said sighing.
"I get what your saying. Trust me, sometimes it's difficult for me to distinguish the difference in between them too" he said looking at the window "But now that you know the truth there's no way your going to get Jennifer and Elizabeth mix up right?" he turned and looked at me. What should I answer? Yes I still think Elizabeth is Jennifer because I can't take Jennifer out of my head, whatever.
"It's going to be hard.. But I won't. After what you told me and the evidence you showed me, I can't confuse Jennifer and Elizabeth" I said and look away, and I know he smiled.
"Good! Do you have any questions Mr. Malik?" He said in his formal voice
"Uhh, yes actually. So Jennifer and Elizabeth are identical twins right?" I asked. They have to be, they look identical.
"No. They're not" he said. What?!
"What do you mean..? But they look-" he cut me off
"I know, they do look identical. However, they're not identical twins, they're fraternal twins, they don't share the same DNA" he said
"Oh.. Alright than" I said
"Will great! Is there anymore doubts that you have?" He asked. I shook my head.
"No.. everything is fine" I said getting up
"Alright than.. Have a nice day Zayn Malik" he said. I said you too thanks and left. My phone ranged, it's Perrie.
"Hey babe" "baby are you home?" "No, why?" "Aww.. I wanted to go" "will I'll get home in about 20 minutes" "ok I'm going to be there at that time" "alright see you there" " ok bye babe" "bye" and I hanged up. I don't really feel that good to hang out with Perrie to be honest, she can whine to much sometimes. But I can't tell her no when I barely see her. And hopefully, she can take Liza off my head.
