"I pronounced you, husband and wife," the preacher said as Alaric gazed at his newly-wed wife Diana with black expression. "you may now kiss the bride."

Diana looked up to him with full of hope and love as he about to kiss her. Unfortunately, the feelings not mutual as he only pecked a kiss on her lips faster than a millisecond. "this doesn't mean we are going to act literally as husband and wife under my roof."

Diana's heart stayed still. She thought this ceremony will seal their promise as he finally would look at her the way she always has. Is this what her grandmother told her about only being with his physical presence but not spiritually?

As they walked down the aisle, she forced a smile on her angelic face but if someone looks close enough, they would notice her light brown eyes are as blank as a canvas.

She glanced at her left where she knows the girl of her husband's dream is sitting and throwing her deadly stares. Miranda Jackson, a beautiful American model with long blond locks and blue eyes. She knew Miranda came intentionally with a skimpy white dress to suppress Diana's confidence.

Diana glanced at her husband who is smiling as widely as possible at Miranda.
