I jolted awake with a gasp, my amethyst eyes wide. The 'den' was dark, the flickering projector has been turned off. As I slowly got my breathing under control, my eyes adjusted to the dark. Bendy had returned at some point, judging by the bucket of water, clean empty glass and small stack of soup cans. As I looked around the room, I noticed Bendy was asleep on the far edge of the 'bed', his tail twitching slightly. I quietly scooted over to the bucket and filled the glass, slowly sipping the cool water. I wanted to escape, but I would have to earn his trust and get stronger. I dug into my bag and found a clean pair of panties and an oversized tee shirt, big enough to hang off my bitten shoulder. After getting some clothes on, I crawled back into the pile, curling up under some of the fabric, feeling a bit cold. Just when I felt the calming embrace of sleep start to take me, I felt Bendy move closer to me, curling against my side on top of the 'covers'. The heat coming off of him was enough to lull me back into a deep sleep. When I woke back up, the 'covers' were chilly, Bendy having moved to sit against the wall, seemingly lost in thought. When I slowly sat up, he blinked, looking at me with an unreadable expression. "Toots....I mean...Luna....I..I won't touch you again...not unless you want it. I realize, I hurt you and...I don't want you to hate me. Just...being here...alone...it made me a little...crazy. In time, I hope you can forgive me." He almost whispered, his tail laying limp beside him. I was shocked to say in the least, he apologized and seemed to mean in, keeping his distance from me. I bit my lip, not knowing what to say to him, my shoulder throbbing lightly.
