Chapter 4 : Steamed Rice
It was a brand new day, and Jimin is ready to make Seokjin his. He had planned a date, and with just a a week left, Jimin also prepared something else.
"You ready?" Jimin asks, once Jin came downstairs.
"Yea, just let me write a note to Jungkook. He's still sleeping, and I don't want him to worry later." Jin quickly scribbles something down, then goes into the kitchen. He prepared some rice, then turned on the rice cooker. Making sure Jungkook has something to eat, Jin also takes out some pork from the freezer.
"Alright, let's go."Jimin drove Jin to a cafe in his neighborhood. It had many white and pink flowers planted outside the windows. Inside, there were flowers hanging all around too. Jimin led them to a table by a window. He pulled Jin's chair out, and helped pushed it in.
"What would you like to eat?" Jimin asks.
Jin giggles quietly, raising his hand to cover his smile. "Do you work here?"
"Hey! I'm just being kind," Jimin answered. "But if you don't want anything, that's fine too."
"Alright alright, I'll just get a butter croissant and coffee."
"Your butter croissant and coffee will be ready in a minute, your majesty," Jimin says and heads over to the counter. Jin couldn't stop cringing over Jimin's acting. It was cute, but way over the top.Jimin returned with their food, but gave Seokjin something extra.
"What's this for?"
"Oh, just my little gift for you," Jimin said, then takes a bite out of his chocolate muffin. Seokjin stared at the little strawberry cake in front of him. It was too early for cake, but it looks delicious. The cream looks super creamy, and the strawberries are fresh. The cake itself looks fluffy. Plus, Jimin got it for him, so Jin ate the cake first."I use to come here all the time with my mom. She stopped bringing me here once I got to high school though. I was kind of sad, but now I already found someone to bring here everyday," Jimin says, and leans in closer to Jin. "I love the sweets from this shop, hopefully you'll accompany me whenever I come." Jin blushed furiously, mainly from the small distance that lies between him and Jimin.
"We'll see," Jin stutters and scoots back. He brushed his bangs, and looked around.
"C'mon, let's go."They arrived at a beach next. There was a slight breeze, causing Jin to shiver at first. Jimin takes notice of it, and hugs Seokjin from behind. "I'm cold too," Jimin whines, and rests his head on Jin's shoulder.
"Why did you bring us here this early?" Jin rubbed his arms and takes a few steps closer to the water.
"Because I want to spend the whole day here with you." Jimin's still holding onto Jin as they walk. There were a few people here and there, but not too many.Jimin wasn't sure where to confess to Seokjin. When calling him one night, they stumbled upon which season was better, summer or winter. Jin went into detail about how he likes both season equally. He likes the snow in winter, and the weather in summer. Jimin wanted to give Jin his love confession on the first day of snow fall, but winter is in eight months, and Mr. Min is giving him one month. With the limited time he has, Jimin settled on a beach instead, believing it is a perfect representation of weather for summer.
The water that Jimin touched didn't do a good job of portraying summer. It was cold, and stung his toes. Probably because it was still early too. Either way, Jimin suggest that they continue to walk by the shore, and look for shells. He felt proud, remembering that Seokjin enjoys long walks.
"Jimin, there are barely any shells," Jin says as he looked down. "It's just sand." Jimin looked around, and Jin was right. The only other things around were some rocks and sticks.
"Uh, well let's just walk then," Jimin smiles and pulls Jin along the shore. He begins talking about the future, and how he isn't sure of anything. He knew it was a great start to get Jin talking. Jimin begins to take notes mentally, as Seokjin tells him about his future. All of this information will be crucial to keeping Jin with him at all times.
