Chapter 10

I had to stop for gas. I looked around to see a gas station that looked pretty abandoned. But it did say 'OPEN' in huge neon colors. I drove to it and parked my car there .

I walked inside and saw some guy with a cigar in his hand ,smoking away. There was roaches and dirt everywhere. A complete filth . " Hi I'd like to get gas on Pump 5." I said as nicely as possible. " Sure sweet thang." He winked before walking over to the cash register. I shuddered .

" Here ya go. G'night!" He called out as I quickly walked away. I went back to where my car is.

I waited for the tank to fill up. Suddenly I was pulled away by two strong arms . The person shoved me against the wall of the store. " Hey princess." I slowly opened my eyes to see its Niall . "Don't you know how to say hi or something?!" I yelled. " Now would you have listened to me if I hadn't?" He got a point there. I would probably try to run. " So what do you need?" I asked annoyed.

" For you to stop talking to that Jared guy." I looked over at him to see if he's joking. He dead serious. " Niall you can't stop me from seeing someone else!"

" Oh ya? Watch me." He tightened his grip on me. " Now listen here sweetheart. Your never going to make any contacts with Jared .Ever. Your mine and only mine." He said gritting his teethes. I could see the bruises already forming on my wrists. I winced in pain. Finally he let go.

"I'm s-sorry." Niall stuttered examining my wrists. He pulled the wrist up to his lips , leaving a small peck on each. I don't know, but it felt like the pain lessened. He slowly dropped my hands.

And he walked away.

I got in my car and drove away. As I got home I started to cry. Why did all this had to happen to me. I just recently moved here , and life is already hell. That makes no sense! Niall. He's the real reason for its events. My mind says , ignore Niall for the rest of your high school time. But my heart says something completely different, Niall is too inseparable for me. Niall does have a kind side under all the darkness. I've seen it.

When he took me to the carnival 'date', He looked over at me multiple times to see if I was having fun. And when he sees that I'm having fun , he smiles.

I smiled at that memory.

I pulled into my house as I parked .

I took out my keys and went inside. "Hey Jessica! Step- What the hell?!" On my coach I see my brothers best friend making out with his girlfriend .They quickly got off each other .They adjusted their clothes and their hair as they looked at me. "What's going on?" Matt came in worried . I looked over at them to see they have pleading eyes. I rolled my eyes . I can't tell my brother now . I can't see that heartbreak in his eyes. Matt and Jessica date for 2 years. "I'm going upstairs." I mumbled. I walked away and to my room.

Too much to handle in one day .
