The Beginning

I guess the only way to properly start is to go back to the beginning. I hope to articulate in a way that anyone who reads this can understand but still vague enough to retain my anonymity. These thoughts, feelings and emotions I have are starting to overflow within me and must be released. This story starts off quick. I hope it will reel you in and captivate you the way he has captivated me. It is the kind of thing you never expected and now you're neck deep in this insanely sexy, beautiful affair. A story that needs to be told. A story that is continually unfolding day by day, and you get to be a part of it. A story without a foreseeable end.

It all started when he invited himself to go hiking that Friday with me. That was the beginning. You see, the reason this is a secret, well one of the reasons, is because we work together. My job is a DRAMA haven. The people there thrive off of it. If they found this out, it would cause "mass hysteria" as he told me last night. The "he" I'm referring to is  Damien. I was thinking about creating an alias for him, but I decided I like his name too much to use anything else. Plus, there are a lot of  Damien's out there, and if somehow you track down which one I am talking about and trace it back to me and us then I have been successful in gaining interest in this anonymous love story that I just can't keep to myself any longer.

So, back to the hike. It was a Friday and he just happened to ask what I was doing that night. I hiked Friday nights when I get off of work at a mountain right by his house and he decided that he was coming with me. Just like that, invited himself. I was shocked and excited and nervous all at the same time. I know he was too. We hiked that mountain in record time to watch the sunset together. It was a perfect sunset the sky golden with hints of pink splattered across the blue backdrop.  We got to the bottom of the mountain hugged and parted ways. "That's it?!" I thought to myself as I drove away. I wanted more and I knew that was bad news. I knew in that moment that this was going to get interesting.
