[Past] September 9, 2001
"Hey Trish. Are you excited?" my dad questioned with full of excitement on the phone.
"Of course I am, are you coming home in two days?" I jumped up and down in the car because I was so excited for my 14th birthday in two days.
"Of course I'm coming. I haven't seen you in months." I could almost hear him cry. "Well, I have to go to a meeting. See you in two days. Love you, bye." He hunged up the phone very fast as if he was in a hurry.
"Well, you bundle of joy, I can't wait for dad to come!" cried mom who seems to drive faster as usual.
I can't help it, but smile. My dad is finally coming home! When my mom parked the car in the parking lot, I went straight to my apartment. With my dad coming home, I finally have someone that I can talk to. My mom is great, but she isn't great as my dad. I went straight to my parent's room and played with my dad's tuxedo. I acted if that he was in it, dancing with me. Suddenly,I hear my mom giggling.
"You are so cute." I directly stared at her after i droped the tuxedo and started to giggle with her. Since my dad went on his business trip, it was the first time mother and I bonded together.
