'Nice to finally meet you, Belladonna.' The girl said, her cheery tone oddly unnerving. 'I've been hearing a lot about you.'
'Can't the same about you,' Bella growled as she tore the arrow from her wrist. Hot blood splashed onto her dress before the wound healed over.
'Oh excuse me,' the girl grinned, 'I'm Batgirl, its a pleasure. You're my first big fish.. Well daughter of one but baby steps, baby steps.' Batgirl knelt into a crouch and from her belt pulled out two batarangs. 'Now, enough chit chat.'
They sliced through the air directed at Bella's face, she ducked out of the way, but her panic caused her hold on her plants to loosen. Dick quickly untangled himself as Bella flicked her wrist as a whip of vines burst from it. Dick snuck away unnoticed by the two girls or the terrified crowd.
He hid behind a pillar and worked on stripping off his tux to reveal his brightly coloured suit and fixed his black mask to his face. Robin stuck to the shadows as he moved towards and into the crowd. He smiled at the gapping faces as he passed, placing his fingers to his lips to keep them from announcing his presence.
The girls were still in the heat of the battle, focus plastered on their faces. Robin waded his way through the crowd towards the door, he pushed against it, locked. He guestered for them to step back before retracting his metal bo, in a swift swip he cut down, the handles and locking mechanism falling right off. He kicked the doors and they swung wide open.
The crowded cheered in relief as the streamed through the doors, people exclaiming their thanks to Robin before being swepted out by others trying to find their way.
The noise and the movement drew Bella attention away, just long enough for Batgril to land her first blow, her batarang slicing into Bellas side. She cried out in pain and anger, when she opened her eyes they glowed a toxic green. Shit. Quickly Robin sprinted across the marble floor as Bella pulled back her whip which was now sproting thick thorns. Robin fell to his side, using his momentum to slide across the floor towards Bella, he crashed into her ankles sending her to the floor and foiling her aim. He caught her wrists as she fell and used her to pull himself up ontop of her, pinning her wrist down next to her head.
She looked up with him, eyes wide as the glow faded. Her dark hair spilling around her mattered, chest rising rapidly as she tried desperately to calm down. 'You make a dreadful damsel,' She panted with a laugh.
'So do you.' Robin returned, without a laugh. Bella's breath settled down and her last exhale a plant came crushing into Robins side, flinging him off her. He scrambled across the marble floor, making it to his feet. He looked up to find Bella's whip was moving on its own.
Batgirl joined him by his side, 'You should've left with the civilians.' she chimed, 'I had this handled.'
Robin knew Batgirl was greatly underestimating Bella, but still he gave her a cheeky smirk, 'I know, 'I just wanted part of the fun.'
Bella groaned to her feet, her comm buzzing in her ear. 'I've got it ladies, is the plan still on track at your part?' Selina's voice came though cool and collected.
Harleys voice came through with heavy pants, 'No problems here, doll. How you handling the crowd, flower?'
Bella cringed as sent at quick glance at the doors, busted wide open, and the two costumed teens across from her, 'Small complications on my part, I'm getting them handled though.'
'What do you mean 'complications', Bella?' Selina's cool voice was dripping in a warning.
Bella narrowed her eyes as the two adjusted their stance, ready. 'Just some brats who don't know when they're way out of their depth,' she assured.
'You watch yourself, sweetie.' Harley chimed.
Bella smirked at the little bird and bat, 'I'm not the one in danger right now.' as she began to stroll closer to them, they stiffened and checked their stance, and began to sprint.
Bella froze, watching as they split apart, running either side of her. She furrowed her brow in consideration on who to focus on and in a quick swipe, swept under Robins feet. He dodged it, flinging himself backwards into a flip. Batgirl was quick to throw a bola, it snapped tightly, wrapping around Bella's torso and pinning her arms to her side.
Bella grunted in annoyance, looking up to see Batgirls smug expression. In a burst of anger she took control of her vine and used it slam her to the floor, slidding to a hault next to Robin.
'What a cute couple,' Bella cooed, as a thorn on her vine sliced through the rope of the bola, the metal balls clinkign to the floor by her feet.
Robin charged again, this time throwing punches. Bella dodged them with ease, he was getting restless. Pulling back slightly, she created a pocket of space between them, and in a soild movement she punched him back. The crack of impact echoed through the hall, Robin stumbled back, hands covering his face as he fell to his knees.
Bella ignored the pain she felt in her chest and spoke as calmly as possible, 'Give it up little bird, you can't win this fight.'
Robin removed his hands from his face, revealing a bloody grin plastered on his face, 'Dont be so sure, gorgeous.' from his belt he removed a small silver ball. Using his thumb he flicked the pin from it and rolled it towards Bella.
She stepped back in shock, he was seriously about to blow them both up??
