Today is the day our school basketball team beat other teams

But I went there but left to get ready for my date with Jason.

I sat down on my couch and Text Noah and Audrey how was the stupid game was

Audrey replied back they won but who care

I chuckle and about to text her but I jumped to hear alarm blaring

I quickly got up

Hearing the automated voice said "kitchen door".

I ran to the alarm systems and put on the code to stop it

I quickly grab my mom baseball bat and ran to the kitchen to see the door is wide open I close it and look out the window.

Then to hear the phone ringing

I look right at the phone and answer it

"Hello?" I asked

"hi this is GPP security we got an alarm notice at your house. Can you give me your name and code word?" he said.

"My name is y/n Prescott and the code word is amethyst I just found my kitchen door open" I Said.

"Just take a deep breath y/n we got a patrol nearby. He can be there in a few minutes" he said

"Okay, I stay here waiting for the patrol to come," I Said.

"Good just stay calm and stay where you are I'm pretty sure person took off when the alarm sounded" he said.

"Okay" I Said breathing heavily

"Would you mind stay on the line with me until somebody gets here?" I asked.

"Sure y/n I can do that" he said

"Sorry it's just my family has been harassed before" I Said

"No worries. The whole town's on edge with all the Ghostface talk" he said.

"Sorry but how far away is he?" I asked

"Dispatch says three minutes tops so what're you doing home tonight watching some tv anything good on?" He said

I stop walking around my house

"Umm is this your of trying to distract me?" I Asked

He chuckles

"You see right through me" he said.

"Sorry man but it's not working" I Said.

"come on humor me. What do you like to watch?" He asked.

"I don't know family guy and scare tactics" I said

"How to get away with murder?" He asked.

"Yeah that one's pretty good I guess" I Said continue on looking around my house.

"I like a strong female lead you sound pretty tough yourself. If that guy's still in your house maybe he should be afraid" he said
