It was that time of year again when Sirius was going crazy for me to answer his questions about Marlene.

"Lily, what's Marlene's least favorite color?" Sirius asked me for the ten billionth time (I counted.)

"For the last time Sirus it's fuschia," I answered.

"I was making sure,"

"Sirius Orion Black," Remus started. "You do this every year you need to calm down and ask yourself:What does Marlene like?"

"See listen to Remus,"

Sirius was making the entire friend group plan and decorate a party for Marlene since the first day back.

"Speaking of Marlene,"

Marlene came into the common room to with Mary.

"Marlene look there's something on your bed,"

Mary took Marlene to see what it was and came racing down the stairs.

"Sirius, can Dorcas take the next shift now, I've had to keep up with her since sunrise when she woke up," Mary complained.

"Fine go get her,"

Marlene and Mary walked out of the portrait hole to find Dorcas.

"LILY!" Remus yelled to scare me.

"REMUS!" I yelled back.

Remus and I have fun scaring each other.

"ABORT MISSION! MARLENE!!!!!! IS GETTING WORRIED SO SHE GOING TO THE ROOM OF REQUIREMENTS!!!" James ran downstairs yelling.

"Oh Merlin's no," Sirius dropped the clipboard and ran after Marlene.

"Did that so he would shut up about getting everything right for Marlene to turn seventeen," James confessed.

"Fleamont really," Remus complained.

"Yes John," James replied.

"Come off it," I started.

"You to Jane,"

"Oh you're dead,"

I ran to James and took my paintbrush and chased him with it.

"Did you have to get it in my hair?" James complained.

"Yes in fact I did," I laughed.

We all laughed until we heard Sirius coming back through the portrait with Marlene.

"Guys Marlene wanted for us to go the pitch," Sirius answered.

Sirius was not as happy and hyper as usual.

"Well Sirius why don't you and Marlene go and play against each other," I offered.

"That's a great idea Lily. Let's go Sirius." Marlene took Sirius's wrist and went through the portrait hole.

"All right everyone take a five minute break," Remus and I were in unison.

"This better be the best party ever for Marlene. She's turning seventeen we need seventeen reasons why Marlene Renee Elizabeth McKinnon  is the best keeper Gryffindor has ever seen," I explained.

This was going to be Marlene's best birthday and I'll do whatever it takes to make this the day she'll never forget.
