The Big Meeting

Jennie and I kept talking about random stuff before a maid came to tell us that the meeting is about to begin. Both me and Jennie let out a loud squeal!! This is no ordinary meeting....it's not even that much of a meeting. It's more like a big get together with very delicious food.

"Okay let's go!" I said while standing up from the bed and making my way out the room

"Yes!" Replied Jennie while also leaving the room

We made our way to the main entrance of her house and got in her limousine. We closed the door and started to talk. "So who do you think is gonna be there?" I asked Jennie. "Eh probably like the usual people, unless....what our parents said is true..." She responded while smirking at me. "mhm." I said while looking out the car window

What did our parents say you must be wondering? Well you're just gonna have to read with the curiosity for a bit longer. But I can assure you that it is not a fun topic, at least not for me.

We finally arrived to our destination and we got off. Jennie and I linked both of our arms together and walked in. All eyes were on us as soon as we stepped foot inside the house. I flashed a small smile and so did Jennie. I saw my parents on the other side of the room, and I knew I had to go talk to them.

"Hey babes, I have to go talk to my parents. I'll catch up with you in a bit" I said to Jennie while unlinking our arms. She gave me a nod of approval while I was walking off.

I made my way past the crowd and walked towards my parents.

"You're late." My mom said while looking at me clearly disappointed

"Sorry mom, it won't happen again" I responded while acting ashamed

"I have someone I would like for you to meet" Said my dad while grabbing my wrist and pulling me towards his direction. "This is the Park family" He said while smiling at them and me

"Nice to meet you" I said to the family

"Please be nice to them and talk with their son" Said my dad while leaving. Nobody would question this sentence but I knew what he really meant. "Build a strong relationship with the parents and the son. This is a chance for a new ally and we are happy to add a new one" And to be honest, the pressure was high since I could feel my dad staring at me.

I grabbed the sons wrist and pulled him to the hallway

"What do you think you're doing!?!" he said while yanking his hand free and clearly blushing a bit

"Don't even start to think weird things" I said while rolling my eyes at him

"My name is Shin Y/N. I hope we can become friends" I said while smiling

"Uhh hi? My name is Park Jimin" He said while looking at me confused

"Look I am so tired of having to introduce myself to new families like every day so I'm sorry if I come of as rude" I said while walking away

"Me too. I literally have no interest in talking to you or getting to know you at all. I'm just doing this for my family" He said with a very flat tone

"Good to know" I responded while heading towards the back door.

I made my way outside and stood next to the wall. I took out a pack of cigarettes I had hidden in my jacket. I took one out and lit it up, I then put it between my fingers and into my mouth. I stared into the sky letting the nicotine flow through my bloodstream, letting all my thoughts fade away.

A gush of cold breeze passed by my face. Right then and there I felt as if the whole world had been muted out and it was only me and the air. I felt free and lost in the feeling of being alone, that I didn't even notice the door swing open.
