"Mom!" I call walking into the kitchen. I rest my elbows on the kitchen counter watching my mom pay bills on her laptop
"Yes hun?" She asked taking a quickly glance at me before looking back at her computer
"Do you know where all my 'important papers' are?"
"They should be in the office.. why?" She asked taking her glasses off and looking at me
"Well we're doing our biographies over the spring break for English." She slowly nodded her head "and I really don't remember stuff from when I was uh young"
"Oh! Okay. Check in the cabinet on the bottom left" she said placing her glasses back on and looking down at the computer
I walk to the living room, the house was pretty quiet. Audrey was at cheer practice, Harmony was at a friends house, and Caleb was working.
"Mom when's Caleb coming back?" I yell from the living room
"Around 7 hun"
I nod my head, he's supposed to take me driving since I'm still desperately trying to get my drivers license.
I turn my head to the door after hearing two loud knocks, I walk over and open it to see Aaron and Isaak.
"Hey? Don't you losers have football practice?" I said unsure of what was going on
"Cancelled." Isaak said stepping in and immediately going to the kitchen to greet my mom.
"We sorta have a situation" Aaron says causing me to turn my attention behind him to see Liam with his school backpack still on.
"What's he doing here?" I muttered looking at Aaron.
"His parents kicked him out. He's staying at mine for a bit" I nod my head and look at him to keep going "and we're throwing a party and I wanted to personally invite you"
"A party?" I whined
"Yes. And you have to come or else Mrs.love won't let Audrey go"
"You live next door Aaron." I replied, he shrugs his shoulders
"Come on sof! It'll be fun" he says with a small grin on his face
"Fine. But only because Audrey would convince me to go anyways" Aaron smiles and walks off with Liam following behind him, I close the door and make my way to the kitchen to see Isaak and my mom chatting.
"Sofia, you didn't tell me Isaak was coming over" she said with a smile. Isaak has to be her favorite, sometimes I feel like she loves him way more than any of us (her kids)
"Yeah him and Skai are helping me. It's cool if she comes right?" I asked, she nods her head and gives Isaak a quick hug before we both walk into the office
"Do you only come over for my mom?" I chuckled as we searched through the office
"She always makes chocolate chips muffins when I come over" He says "when's skai coming?"
"She has cheer practice till 4, so like maybe one more hour" he nods his head and we keep looking through the office in complete silence
"Did you know that Liam was staying at Aaron's ?" I asked wanting to make conversation.
"Sorta. I was quiet shocked"
"Found them" I said pulling out a small short box labeled 'Sofia's documents'
"My mom barely has my birth certificate" he scoffs with a small smile, he opens the box holding the lid in his hands
"Let's see, school papers? No" I said tossing the unwanted packs I didn't need on the other side of the desk
"What exactly are we looking for?" He asked, before getting cut off by a knock on the office door
"Yes?" I turned to the door waiting for a answer, the door opened and there was Liam standing there.
"Hey" He said looking at me then Isaak then back at me
"Uh what's going on?" Isaak said placing the lid on the desk. I drop the stack of papers in the box and looked at Liam
"Well I thought we could work on the essay." He said taking a quick glance at the box infront of me
"Alright. We're just looking for some documents right Now" I said turning my attention back on the stack of papers
"Documents for what?" He said, his voice way more confident now
"Documents of stuff before she was adopted" Isaak answered, I nodded and pulled out a folder that was on the bottom of the box

"I think I found it" I looked up at Isaak, I opened the folder and felt Liam move closer to us.
I pulled out a small photo, it was of me playing with Audrey, I smiled and carefully placed the photo on the desk
"Anything of a birth certificate?" Isaak spoke up from the silence
I nodded and pulled out a paper that had a blue frame printed around it

"Anahi?" Isaak said with a smirk, I rolled my eyes at him.
"Natalie and Carlos" I said, i never bothered asking for my biological parents names.
"What's this?" Liam said pulling out another paper that looked almost identical of the one in my hand
"Another one?"
"Maybe it's a copy" Isaak said, Liam shook his head and passed the paper to me.
