They tell you hush,
Don't be sad.
Life isn't over.
Mum and Dad aren't mad.
You failed once again.
You try your best.
But they don't understand
You're under a lot a stress.
The people are fake
And school is hell.
The teachers ramble on,
You're just waiting for that bell.
With their tests and their rules.
Creativity will die.
You try to get through.
But you just wanna cry.
You don't have your own name,
Just numbers on a page.
If you pass or you fail,
Determines the next stage.
You're pushed to decide,
"What do you want to be?"
When you don't even know,
If you'll get that degree.
The secrets spill out.
Through the hollow cracks.
Harmful words spoken,
By those who "have our backs"
They are just liars and theives,
"Who don't know a thing!"
But even if it's not true,
It really does sting.
So, if you think its important.
You're very, very wrong.
Because it does absolutely nothing,
I mean its six hours long.
Half ours of our lives.
Wasted for "knowledge"
Just to say the words,
"I'm dropping out of college."
