Milos POV
-Warning-
This chapter contains homophobic slurs."It can't go that bad, can it?" Jasper, my best friend shrugs. I look up from my phone where I was scrolling through photos of dogs, and over to him, sitting in the driver's seat.
"Have you not heard stories of parents literally killing their children after they come out?" we hit a red light and he chuckles, looking over at me as traffic perseveres.
"That might be a bit extreme. Mi, they love you. Do you think they would just throw away the amount of time it took them to make you?" okay. Ew. Images I didn't want are now floating through my head. "I mean, there's a reason you don't have siblings."
I look at him with disgust as he presses his foot on the gas, moving us forward.
"Okay, um, gross?!" I reply. Again, didn't want to picture my parents boning.
I've been out to Jasper for a while, telling him about this one time when we played spin the bottle freshman year, and I kissed one of the popular guys, I actually felt what people say you're meant to, which I didn't feel when kissing my girlfriend.
Yeah. That relationship didn't last long.
"Hey. On a serious note, feel free to stay over if you're not comfortable sleeping at your place tonight, okay?" Jasper says, leaning over to make sure I took in what he was saying.
Jasper was always really sweet about me being gay. He always made sure no one was making fun of me for it and even beat a guy up once after he threatened to out me to my parents.
I nod and sigh. I still had a couple of hours to prepare myself.
I wasn't gonna do anything special. I considered doing a thing I saw on Reddit where a guy made a cookie and wrote gay on it before saying, "You are what you eat!" and eating the cookie.
At least until I realized my parents might not find that funny and also, I burn everything I bake and would rather not eat a cookie I made.
So what's the plan you ask?
I'm actually just gonna say "hey, I have something to tell you. I'm gay." and hope for the best.
They wouldn't be home for another 3 hours though, so in the meantime, I'm gonna do homework.

I was hoping the time would pass slowly rather than quickly so that I could somehow piece myself together, but it seemed that I was so unfocused, within 3 simple math equations, that the front door was opening downstairs. That meant dad was home, and mom would be too in a matter of minutes.
I walk downstairs to greet my dad as usual, although it seemed to be more difficult now that I know what was gonna happen in a matter of about 15 minutes. I wasn't even slightly prepared.
"Hey, dad," I say, refraining from stuttering, yet almost failing.
"Hey, Milo. You seem a bit nervous? What's wrong?"
ShitShitShitShitShit.
"Nothing. I do have something to tell you and mom though." his eyes light up. He's always complaining about how his son doesn't have a girlfriend yet.
Little does he know.
"Come on. You don't have to tell us together. Tell your old man-" I quickly cut him off.
