Milos POV

I hastily lead Jasper to the back exit, hesitantly hovering my hand over the handle. He chuckles lightly and rolls his eyes before placing his hand on mine and pushing.
A blush invaded my face before a harsh hand grabs mine.

"Run!" He laughs, a big grin on his face. I smile a bit. He's happy. That's good.

"My legs are killing me..." I groan before he looks back at me, his face only a bit shiny compared to mine, red and dripping in sweat. He nods in understandance. We had made it about three quarters of a mile, better than I usually do.

"I guess there was no point in running because they can't leave school property to chase us." He shrugs with a smug smirk on his face. I jokingly hit him and we both laugh.

"I'm glad to see you happy again." I smile. He sighs and looks away, resting his hand on the back of his neck.

Bringing it up may have not been the best idea.

"What do you wanna do?" I say, doing my best to take his mind off of it.

"Ice cream? The place down the street we used to hang out at is open." He says with a wide smile, my eyes glowing.

We head that way, our pace at a walking speed because of our earlier shenanigans. As we approach, I see a familiar car in the parking lot. I of course wasn't to upset about it, because they make multiple of cars.

I enter and see a short woman sliding a paper over the counter.

"He ran away. We need to find him as soon as possible, and this was one of his favorite shops so if you see him-" she stops talking as the shop keeper looks up in shock. That's when I notice who it is.

"Ran away?!" I exclaim and she turns on her heels.

"Honey! We miss you so much at home." She comes near me and tries to wrap her arms around me. I push her away from me, and she stumbles back, putting on a shocked face.

"I didn't run away, you and dad kicked me out!" I yell angrily, Jasper grips my wrist and pulls me near him.

"You're causing a scene." He whispers. I ignore his comment and the minor blush on my face. "It's not worth it." I clench my fist and nod, sighing. I close my eyes and walk out of the store, but she followed me.

"Honey we want you back home..." she mumbles. I could tell she was just trying to cover up for dad. They knew what they did was neglect.

"No you don't!" I say turning around and getting close to her, looking her in the face. We were about the same height. "Because you're to afraid to have everyone know that your son is gay." I say, taking a deep breath and pressing my finger on her chest. "Go. Home." I say calmly. Her face gets serious and her jaw clenches.

"I see the way you two look at each other! Have you guys been fu-" I cut her off.

"He's straight!" I yell, feeling my heart drop a little. Maybe I liked him a little.

"Actually-" he gets immediately cut off as my mother gets in my face.

"You better be home by eleven. I WILL call the cops." She threatens and walks to her car, driving off. My face is left shocked.

"Wh-what do I do? I can't go back there! They'll tear me apart-" Jasper places and hand on my shoulder and spins me around.

"I have a place we can stay the night."

***

"Fuck." I hear him mumble under his breath as we approach a house. Colorful lights pumping and bass shaking the whole place. "I'm sorry miles. I know you hate parties. I forgot this was tonight." I shake my head and laugh.

"Any place is better than somewhere mom can find me." He smiles lightly and nods. "Plus, I might need some alcohol. Take my mind off things." I smile back at him for a while before we both turn away.

"Look at Mr. Bad Boy." He says tauntingly and I roll my eyes, getting out of the car. He walks to the front, looking back at me and waiting. "Slow..." he mutters and I laugh, running to catch up.

"Rude!" I exclaim and we both chuckle as we head into the house. When he knocks, someone who I'm assuming is the host opens it.

"Jazz!" He says, high giving him and giving an obnoxious frat boy laugh.

Jazz?

"This is miles. Can we stay here for a day or two?" The host shoots a confused look. "Just say yes. I'll explain later." The host nods and opens the door farther to let us in.

As he walks in, people immediately crowd around him, asking about the rumors. He sighs and turns to me with a light smile.

"Guest room is upstairs, first room to the right. Meet you there at 12:00?" I nod and head up the stairs, passing many couples eating each others faces as I walk by.

I finally make it to the door and push it open, seeing a nicely sized bed. Tossing my charger and change of clothes onto the bed, I check the time and realize I've still got about two hours. Might as well explore.

I'm finally back! Aaaaah

So I went to a place where I couldn't have electronics so I kinda couldn't update, but hopefully I can update more often now.

Also, thanks QuaintBookWorm because tbh reading books by them inspires me so much lmao.
