A loud clang resounded throughout the market as the  weapons clashed. Shoppers and tourists ran away for dear life as the two people continued pursuing each other. Erva brought up her spear just in time to block Hayashi's sword. The sword manifested from his own flames of pure darkness in which no one had ever seen before. The lines of flames overlapped each other twisting and turning into an intricate blade. The girl spun her spear and swung it at Hayashi by the side, but the teen ducked under it and kicked her chin.

Erva staggered back holding her bleeding chin. Hayashi was strong, stronger than he would usually be. This was unnatural, it had never happened before. She knew she was strong, she had gone through hell ever since her father found out she had cloud flames not sky flames. But just in a short span of time Hayashi had rose to the point he wasn't average nor a tiny bit higher than average anymore.

"Cielo! A hand?!" Erva yelled as she thrust forward her spear. Hayashi jumped over it and did a mid-air spin kick in which Erva blocked with her arm barely in time.

Cielo was carrying Basil and getting him on his foot. In a laid back tune he hummed, "I'm still evacuating the ladies."

"THAT IS SO NOT A LADY!"

But before she could yell anything more she jumped backward to avoid Hayashi who slammed his sword down into the ground. Erva gasped, that huge sword plunged through the concrete ground! Hayashi's face was devoid of emotion, like a empty-shelled puppet. With one quick pull Hayashi plucked the sword from the ground. A chill ran down her spine as his lifeless eyes landed on her.

"Who are you?! You are not Baka-yashi!!!" she yelled, frustrated from her own confusion. She knew who Sawada Hayashi was, and this person was not him.

She launched forward and jumped into the air, spinning.

"Who are you?!!!" She shouted once again as her spear made contact with his sword. The metals screamed as they met. Hayashi swiped his sword and hurled her back. Erva was flung away but she adjusted herself in the air as she landed on the ground gracefully. A look of determination struck across her eyes.

"I don't know what's going on....." she said, her voice deeper and more threatening than before. "But I will win..."

In one second Erva had disappeared. The next second she was in front of Hayashi and had brought down her spear almost splitting Hayashi in half. The teen widened his eyes as he blocked the blow with his sword. However, he wasn't able to block the kick that came under the spear. Hayashi lost balanced as he fell on his knees. His hands still pushed against the sword blocking the spear that pressured down onto him.

"No one, will be better than me....." he whispered. Erva's eyes widened. Quickly she fell back as the black flames around him thronged and burned stronger. Slowly, the sclera of his eyes turned black.

The former heir of Vongola gritted her teeth, not from anger but fear. How Hayashi looked right now, he resembled a panther preying. And that prey was her. Pushing back her fear she brought up her spear and adjusted the hold on the shaft. Inhaling deeply she strained her ears. She heard mumbles, mumbles of torrent hatred.

"No one..... no.... one...... I'm the best....... no one is better.... than me!" After the last word the beast-like teen lunged forward like a panther trying to tackle down its prey. Quickly, Erva rolled to the side to avoid the assault. The large sword went past her and pierced through the window of a food store. The sounds of broken glass clattered on the ground. Soon, the demon walked out of the hole created by the impact. The shattered glasses crushed underneath his feet.

"I'm done over here. Is this situation better or-" Cielo asked as he ran into the imaginary arena. The air grew thin like the air on top of the atmosphere.
