The three stood awkwardly together in the middle of Harrods before Spencer returned. Beck was quick to act and snapped his roaming eyes off Nash. He did not wish to let Nash know that he was admiring her beauty, though she did look good. He was good at playing hard to get, that was the basis of his appeal and how he was able to sell millions of records. Each girl depended on this deluded mind set that Beck would fall in love with them, therefore would buy his albums. It did not take long until he was famous.
"So what are you doing in London Beck?" Spencer asked his eyebrows rose as he had not seen Beck for years. Beck did not live in London; he was jetting off daily around the world, touring, interviewing, appearing as a guest star. He definitely did not come back to the small village in Suffolk where he was raised. Beck hadn't seen his parents since he left for LA three years ago.
"It's a press thing I think, I don't know really, I just show face." Beck smiled lightly rubbing his tired eyes. Nash watched as her brother played nice with Beck as though he want completely famous. He was even more gorgeous in person and Nash found herself longing to speak to him in private.
Nash knew him for years but by the time she had left high school he was already signed to a record label. Beck used to upload his covers on YouTube, most people at their school speculated on how he actually became famous in the first place. Nash studied Beck's face, admiring each contour and dip, she marvelled at how someone could be this good looking. The boys in her village certainly did not look like this.
"How long are you here for?" Nash finally piped up the courage to speak directly to Beck. To her horror he glanced at her momentarily and returned his attention to Spencer completely ignoring her attempt at making conversation. Nash felt embarrassed and humiliated, her body began to tense up again.
Spencer narrowed his eyes towards Beck, shaking his head to signal he did not appreciate the way he was tearing into Nash. Spencer felt sorry for his sister and how she seemed to seize up when she spoke to Beck. Spencer knew that Beck wasn't the easiest person to converse with, he has always been that way, it was not a matter of the fame getting to his head, Beck had always been complicated.
Beck locked eyes with Spencer, he chuckled sheepishly before he took in a big gasp of air, looking at Nash directly in the eyes, "don't flatter yourself, I am not here for long."
Nash was horrified at his complete and utter brutish behaviour. She couldn't speak, she had never met someone so rude in her life. In all fairness she didn't get out much. The majority of her time was spent hidden in their house in the Suffolk hills. Nash was taken back by Beck's honesty, she was taken back by him all together. Nash could tell he was a 'bad boy'. His hands and arms were covered in tattoos and in the magazines he always seen wore dark brooding colours. Nash ached to ask Beck what his attitude was about but at the same time she felt as though she wouldn't want to know.
Beck appeared so self-assured it made Nash's skin crawl. There was something about Beck that was both intoxicating and irritating. It was a sickening feeling of distrust and suspicious charged by an undeniable sexual tension.
Nash cocked her head to the side to look at Beck, really look at him. She took in every contour, shadow, and line of his face. His skin appeared soft, under the lights in Harrods where they stood his skin was tanned and bronzed as if he had been in the sun, his eyes were piercing and intense. He had a nose piecing which was accented by a small silver ring. He ran his hand through his curly hair furrowing his brows as he did so. He appeared frustrated and confused. His lips curled upwards almost into a smile but pursed his lips and frowned instead.
"You should take a picture instead of staring so much Mash, it will last longer ." Nash was almost amused but she remained neutral and didn't smile. She continued to look at him, admiring him. His face, his voice, his mannerisms. He was so sexy it was driving her crazy.
