Cadenza trapped me in a big bear hug whilst telling me about how much she missed me and all the things we'll be doing.
"...bake cookies... go shopping.. have a picnic.. Oh! And I'll design a dress for you! I'll make sure you look like a goddess!- Even though you already do... Psh... Irene is quaking-"
"Cadenza... That's enough." Hayden spoke. Cadenza smiled and apologised quietly whilst letting me go. I looked over at Hayden and smiled at him.
Dante, Nicole and Vylad stood beside me as we were greeted by Hayden and Cadenza at our holiday house in Meteli.
"I'm glad to see that you guys arrived safely." Hayden began. "I hope your stay will be nice and pleasurable. And I hope to be able to spend more time with my soon to be daughter-in-law."
"Y-Yes! Of course!" I stuttered in a bit of embarrassment and shock when he called me his 'soon to be daughter-in-law'.
"Haha. Great! You guys go unpack and explore a little!" Hayden laughed and gave us a friendly smile.

We chose our rooms and ended up going in pairs. I went with Laurence and we took the biggest room. Nicole and Dante got the medium sized room with a walk-in closet. Sadly, Vylad chose to have a room to himself which was smaller than the other rooms but decent enough for him since it had a nice view of the fields. After we finished unpacking, we chose to go walk around and explore a little.
"Wow... This place feels... like home... I feel so safe and comfortable here..." Nicole gawked whilst we walked through the market place which was close to the seaside.
"Right? Tell me about it..." Vylad let out a calm sigh.
This was a chapter I was going to realise exactly a year ago. I apologise for not updating in over a year due to writers block and issues I've been facing irl.
I've reread this book and I've cringed, laughed but also smiled :)
