I walk to the office with more glares from peers. Finally reaching the office I sit in the chair and wait for my dad.
Once he finally got here, we both got in the car and drove away from the hell I call school.
Drifting off to sleep,my eyes droop tired from the constant crying.
I wake up suprisenly in my bed. Assuming dad carried me to my room, I realise Im still wearing Trent's baggy clothes. Changing into my own clothing I look outside my window to see the skies wondrous colours.
What a nice afternoon I think before getting up to go downstairs.
Walking down to the kitchen, Dad has left for work and Mum is home cleaning and making dinner.
" How was your day Mace " Mum asks.
" You know just the usual " I say really embarrassed. I have never told my parents about the bullying at school, I felt like I would be disappointing them if I told.
" Surely something exciting happened " Mum replys.
" Hmmm, nothing really. Um we had a new food order in the Cafeteria " I say. Even Im bored with this conversation.
" Really what... " Mum says before Trent walks in slamming the door behind him.
" Trent, your home late " Mum says before furrowing her eyebrows.
" There was a food fight today and I had to help clean it up " Trent's poor excuse was amusing but mum found it believable.
" What happened to your necklace the feather is gone " I ask.
" I didnt even know it was off. Probably on the field, varsity ball is rough Mace " Trents says before he runs up the stairs.
Lately Trent's been coming home late. Always sloopy looking in a big mess. One night, he came home and he was growned for a week because apparently he didnt bother to show up for practice. Even though he told mum and dad he was late because of practice.
He acted really strange too and he smelt like fish and water. It wasn't prominent but you can just smell the quick whiffs.
After talking abit with mum. I went upstairs to go give Trent' s clothes he gave me. But just before I walked in I could hear him talking on the phone.
Peeking in the room I could slightly hear him.
" Yeah, I had fun too"
" Do you wanna meet up same place tomorrow "
" Oh wait I have practice. The next day then "
" Dont worry my parents dont know a thing "
" Yes especially Macey "
" Dont worry. No one from school knows "
" Ok see you then. Bye "
Once he hung up I stormed in his room as if completely unaware of what I just heard.
" Hey Trent, here's your clothes. Thanks again " I say chucking the clothes on his bed.
" Um yep. You ok Mace "
" Im fine. You ok? How was the cleaning? "
" What cleaning? " Trent replys puzzled.
" Food fight. Cafeteria. "
" Oh, it wasn't as big as last time but we got it cleaned. Hey can you close the door on your way out? " He said jumping on his bed.
" Sure want me to get you when dinner is ready? " I ask still suspicious.
" Ah, Yes please thanks " Trents tells me before walking out.
As I walk into my room, I still cant help but feel suspicious about whoever Trent was talking to. One things for sure Im going to find out.
