Learn Spanish to communicate with Mary for the time being. He knew that it was going take a lot to learn three other languages so he tried to learn as much as possible.
He especially had wanted to learn Burmese to communicate with Joy.
Joy had been taking a longer time with learning English, so the King wanted to make her feel
Comfortable.
