When I woke up rusty was gone most likely making a video so I get up and trudge to the kitchen but a sharp pain rings through my head and I fall to my knees "shit." I mumble my body hurts it's fucking freezing and its hard to see "oh god." I say trying to stand up "hey y/n are you alright?" ben asked walking into the house from the garage "no." I hissed from the pain when I finally stood up every thing went black and I felt the cold floor before I passed out. When I woke up again I was in my bed with blankets a trash can a warm wash cloth and rusty sitting next to me "morning ben." I tried to say as loud as possible but it came out as just a scratchy mumble "does it hurt to talk?" ben asked I nod my head yes and he stands up and leaves the room. I wonder what he's doing. I looked to my side and there's a cute little owl stuffed animal "aww." I all I could say "you like it?" ben asked walking in with warm tea and soup. "I do. Where did he come from?" I asked rusty as he set the soup on the night stand and handed me the tea "I was out at the store today to get soup and tea and I saw him sitting alone on the rack so I bought h for you." he said looking at the floor "thank ben. I really appreciate you doing everything that you have." I smiled at him sitting on my bed with me "I should be thanking you if you didn't let me into your home I'd probably be homeless still."rusty said looking at his hands in his lap. I grab his hand and say "your welcome." he just pushes me lightly and laughs. "That was supposed to be a nice moment you ass." he said standing up when We hear a loud bang on the door rusty runs to get it. I couldn't hear anything but ben came back in saying I was needed at the front door so I get up and speed shuffle to the door when I open the door there's a police officer "hello are you y/n l/n?" he asked "yes."I say in my raspy voice "we hate to inform you but night eyes was robed last night." "is everyone okay?" I said freaking out on the inside "two people where shot but they have not been identified yet." he says "oh Kate what did you do." I say tearing up when a man walked up "hi I'm detective Mathieu can we please come inside and ask a few questions?" he said "yes you may."I said opening the door all the way and stepping aside we walked to the living room where rusty was and sat down "we have found out that the first victim was Kate l/n do you know anyone who would harm her?" "yes her husband Mike l/n he and her sold drugs and he owned a sawed of shot gun Kate started moving away from the drugs and he thought she was gonna rat him out so he keeped saying if she left he would shot her right where she stood." I said crying "hears his address and number." I said scribbling it down and handing them the paper "thank you." he said standing up "wait do you know the second victim?"I asked "Kate's son Benny l/n." another cop said "mike would make calls to her every night and his gun redistashiom his in a shoe box under his bed." I said looking into my cold hands "thank you miss y/n we will find him." they said leaving my home "I can't believe she's dead." I cried as rusty hugged me "its okay let's get you back to bed." he said picking me up and caring me to bed.
