Dazai's lady luck

First Meeting

"Boys, this is your new partner Kuroha. Kuroha, this is Dazai and Chuuya. You Three will be working together from now on."

That was their first formal meeting.

"Heh? Chuuya! This is the girl I told you about! The one my ability doesn't work on!"

"Haaah? This squirt?"

"Actually Mr your ability does work on me... my luck is not my ability.

"Then what is it?"

"I was told I have the goddess of fortunes blessing. I don't have a ability that I'm aware of. I don't really need one cause of my luck. Those who try to hurt me get hurt, and I can't ever lose anyway... I can go on missions though! I been shot at before but the bullets never make contact and always ends badly for the shooter. Mori taught me how to treat wounds and I'm good at housework! So um... yeah... I'm sorry I'm of no use to you!"

"H-hey! You're not useless. If anything you sound much more useful than this bandage waster!"

"Aww Chuuya! Funny you should say that cause I was just thinking the same thing about you!"

The two fought with each other. It was too cute!

"I think I'm gonna like it here..."

~5 months later~

*crunch! Crack!* that's the sounds I hear as I approach the training room.
"Useless. You truly are useless." 'Dazai?' I push open the door and see Dazai beating a boy my age. He looks like he's about to collapse. "I'm*cough**cough* Sorry Dazai."
Dazai beats him more. I can't stand to watch anymore. I force open the door and rush in. "Dazai! Stop it right now! What are you doing to him?!" He looks at me with cold eyes. "Leave Kuroha. I'm disciplining MY USELESS subordinate." I slap him. "You*smack*are*smack*not! You will only teach him to be a psychopath by beating him when he fails! He will be like you!" "And what's wrong with that? I'm strong. Only the strong survive here." "You're not strong Dazai. You're a MONSTER. You are twisted and sick just like the boss. Leave. He can't continue in this condition. Go torture someone else and leave him to me. RIGHT NOW! I don't want to see you for a month! Cause you're not getting him back for a month at least! And if you come near me or try to take him I'll break your legs and beat you to death!"

I turn to the boy as he passes out. I don't even look to see Dazai leave as I call Chuuya and ask him to help me take him to our apartment. Usually I stay with Dazai but sometimes I stay with Chuuya when Dazai's busy or when we fight.

I enter the room with a tray of food and pain killers to see him trying to get up. I hurriedly put the tray down and go push him back into bed. "What are you doing?! Lay down! You'll only make your injuries worse if you move." He growls. "Where is here? And who are you?"

I sigh. "You're in chuuya's house and I'm Dazai and Chuuya's partner. You're going to be in my care for a while because I won't let Dazai beat you to death. Just think of it as a sort of... exchange program. You're gonna be taught by me and Chuuya for at least a month. You are to treat us like you treat Dazai as we are you're superiors. For now you're to not move till you recover! I brought you food and pain pills... You bust be in pain right? Here." I bring the tray over...

Only for him to knock it out of my hands. "Ah... I made that myself you know... if you didn't like sandwhiches all you needed to do was say that... I'll get you something else so please behave."

The next plate I brought was also tossed. And the next. And the next. And the next. Each time he screamed insults at me. He never tried to hurt me, he must know what happens when you do. But he settled with trying to make me mad by making a mess I guess. He must be hoping I punish him like Dazai would... that's what Chuuya came home to. He was FURIOUS! But not at me... at Akutagawa. He wanted to hurt him but I begged him to not do that.

So he settled with verbal abuse. Akutagawa was calmer with that. What's with that?! Dazai! You're a bad person and you're on my shit list. Thankfully Akutagawa let me treat him nicely. He even became friendly with me! I will not let Dazai hurt him any more... not without being there to show him the light... Akutagawa, Dazai, Chuuya, I will not fail You!
