The last day of school has finally arrived. I wake up yawning to the sound of my alarm clock. "7:30am" it reads, then I look over at my Calendar and begin to remember "it's the last day of school!," I yell (still half asleep). I jump up and head for my bedroom bathroom. I begin to brush my teeth then start my usual face routine for the morning. Face wash, moisturiser then a thin layer of makeup. Once that is complete I hop out of my pyjamas and grab my outfit I had picked the night before. A simple Adidas white t-shirt with a leather jacket over the top. As my bottom I picked out a pair of high waisted blue pair of ripped jeans. Then my latest fashionable sneakers that I had bought the weekend before enters my mind. I carefully take them from my closet, as if they were a glass vas and slip them on, being careful not to lay a scratch or fingerprint on them. Then I tie my hair in a messy but pretty, simple bun and fetch a pretty ring and pair of earrings to complete my ensemble. As soon as I am about to leave my bedroom, I glance at myself in the mirror, touch my hair, to make sure every piece of hair is in place and come to a conclusion that I am satisfied with my look. I quickly make my bed then head downstairs for breakfast.

I grab a slice of white bread and some fresh strawberry jam that mum had fetched from the market this morning before work. I spread the jam evenly across the top of the bread and pluck it in my mouth, devouring it before it was finished. Then, before I leave for school I grab my food and water bottle on the kitchen table that mum made for me this morning and check that I have all the right books for school today. Then I open the front door of the house, inhale the morning air and lock the door behind me before tossing the keys in the front pocket of my backpack. I glance at my watch and noticed the time "8:15am", perfect! I begin to walk down the street singing my new favourite song with a huge grin plastered across my face. Life is good. 😁
