Richie: 19
Eddie: 19After class Richie went to McDonald's for dinner. The sun was setting casting an orange hue on everything. Richie heard a twig snap in the alley beside the restaurant.
"Hello?" Richie asked as he started to walk into the alley. He saw a tiny boy. His beautiful caramel doe eyes were filled with fear. Based off of his height which was around 5'0 Richie guesses he couldn't be much older than 14 or 15. He was frozen from fear. "I'm not going to hurt you." Richie said. He raised his hands above his head to show he didn't have any weapons. The boy walked into the light. Richie could tell it had been a while since he had eaten. His clothes were huge on his small, skinny frame. "Let's go eat" Richie said.
"I have no money." the boy said. Richie felt bad for him.
"I'll buy you anything you want. Please?" Richie said. Eddie didn't want a random stranger to waste his money on him, but he was starving. The boys walked into McDonald's. Both boys ordered a Big Mac®️ meal.
Within 5 minutes of the food being placed in front of him Eddie was done eating.
"You really didn't need to help me." Eddie said.
"I wanted to. I'm Richie by the way. What's your name?" Richie said.
"Eddie" he answered.
"How old are you?" Richie asked.
"19" Eddie said. "Me too." Richie said.
"I should go." Eddie said.
"Where?" Richie asked.
"Back to the streets" Eddie said.
"No way. Come with me. My apartment isn't far from here" Richie said. Eddie knew he shouldn't go, he didn't know if Richie was a murder or something, but he trusted Richie. They walked to Richie's house.
"If you don't mind me asking, what happened?" Richie asked.
"My mom is a homophobe and now I have nowhere to go." Eddie said.
"Is there anything you need?" Richie asked.
"A shower please?" Eddie asked. Richie showed Eddie where it was. He went to his room to pick out clothes for Eddie. He grabbed a pair of basketball shorts that were too small for him and one of his many hoodies. He grabbed a towel and sat the clothes and towel on the counter next to the sink.
Half an hour later Eddie came out. Richie thought he looked adorable, the sweatshirt went down to his knees and covered the shorts.
"You can sleep in my room" Richie said.
"The couch will be fine." Eddie responded.
"No, you get the bed." Richie said, he had already laid down on the couch. Eddie walked to Richie's room. The king-sized bed looked super comfortable compared to the park benches and sidewalks he usually slept on. Eddie laid down but couldn't get comfortable. After being all alone for 3 years, all he wanted was someone to be with. Eddie walked out to the living room.
"Richie?" Eddie whispered, if the raven headed boy wasn't awake, he would leave him alone.
"Yes?" Richie said.
"Can you come in the room with me? I just don't want to be alone. Sorry for bothering you." Eddie said.
"It's fine." Richie said. The boys walked back to the room Eddie laid on the left side and Richie slept on the right.
In the middle of the night Richie woke up hot. He took off the blanket, but he was still hot. He looked down and saw Eddie was snuggling him. Eddie's head was resting on Richie's bare chest and one of his arms was slung across Richie waist. There was a tiny smile on Eddie's face. Richie gently kissed Eddie's forehead before wrapping his arms around Eddie and drifting off to sleep.
The next morning Eddie woke up at 8 a.m. He realized he was inside a house. He thought someone had found him and put him in a foster home. While he was 19, he could easily be mistaken for a 14- or 15-year-old. His breathing sped up and he frantically looked around. He was looking for any clues that would tell him he was in a foster home.
"What's wrong, Eddie?" Richie asked. He then remembered what happened the night before. He looked up at Richie and realized he was laying on Richie's chest.
He probably thinks you're a creep now Eddie thought. He went to sit up, but Richie's arms were wrapped around him.
"Are you ok?" Richie asked. Richie was concerned for him.
"Yeah, I just thought I was in a foster home. I'm sorry for falling asleep on you." Eddie said.
"It's fine. Did you sleep well?" Richie asked.
"Yeah." Eddie responded.
"That's good." Richie said. Eddie blushed; he was still snuggling the cutest boy he had ever seen. "I have a class from 5:00 to 6:00 will you be ok by yourself?" Richie asked.
"I should leave. I don't want to be a burden. Thank you though." Eddie said.
"Please stay. It gets a little lonely here" Richie said.
"Ok" Eddie said.
"Do you care if we snuggle?" Richie asked.
"No" Eddie said. He loved snuggling Richie. "You are the only person to care about me in years." Eddie said.
"If you want to, you can live with me." Richie said.
"Really?" Eddie asked. Richie nodded his head.
"Of course!" Eddie said. He hugged Richie tighter. Eddie had finally found a place to call home.
