When Night Falls

Prolouge

                         12 years ago...

"When will my debt be over, sir? I've done whatever I could offer..." Said Mr.Myoui, pleadingly.

"Here's a deal...find me the purest of souls, take them, and let me posses their body..." Said the Lycanthrope. (A/N: It means wolf/werewolf)

Sighing, Mr.Myoui nodded his head, "But, the exception is, you can only posses them at midnight, till dawn, in morning, they are normal...I can't have them finding out...".

The Lycanthrope smiled twistedly, they shook hands, and off Mr.Myoui went.

"Mommy! Can I go to the park?" Chaeyoung asked.

"Sure, honey, just don't stay out too late" replied her mom.

"Okie, I love you~" Chaeyoung said, skipping out of the house.

On her way to the park, she saw a cotton candy machine, she looked at the price "$1.00"

Checking her pockets, she found a loonie.

Smiling happily, her inserted the coin, and got her sugary confection.

As she continued to walk to the park, she heard crying, following the noise, she found herself in front of a little girl.

"Why are you crying?" Chaeyoung asked.

"M-my dad, I-I don't k-know where he is..." Said the little girl.

"Don't worry, we'll find him together, here, to cheer you up, have some cotton candy" Said Chae, smiling brightly.

The girl unknowingly blushed "But isn't this yours?" She asked, hesitant to take it.

"Was. It was mine, but now it's yours" Chae said, putting the cotton candy in the little girl's hand.

"My name is Chaeyoung by the way" Said the cub.

"Oh, mine is Mina" She said, quietly.

"Mina...I like that name" Said the younger, thoughtfully.

Mina blushed, giggling slightly "Thank you"

They walked around the park, talking about the most random things, but mostly just enjoying each others company.

"Mina? Mina!! MINA!!"

They both turned their heads, trying to locate the sound.

"Dad!" Mina suddenly cried out, Chaeyoung looked at the man standing in front of them and smiled.

Her heart melted at the sight of Mina looking so happy, tears streaming down her face as she hugged her father, Chaeyoung introduced herself and bowed.

The older man looked down and smiled, "What a polite young girl...perfect, just call me Mr.Myoui" Chaeyoung nodded and smiled brightly, showing her dimple.

"Well it was nice meeting you Chaeyoung, thank you for accompanying my daughter, I have a little thank you gift for you after..." Mr. Myoui said, but he whispered the last part so Mina wouldn't hear.

Chaeyoung just nodded and bowed as they walked away.

A couple hours had passed and Chaeyoung was still waiting in the park.

After a little while, the little cub noticed a figure, she called out to it, expecting a reply back, but it just kept walking towards her.

"Mr.Myoui?" Chaeyoung asked, but before she could even blink, she was shoved harshly into a bag.

Shrieking and kicking, trying to break out, Chaeyoung felt herself being dragged down the sidewalk and into what seemed to be a car.

She heard the engine roar to life as she was curled up into a ball, her voice getting hoarse from all the yelling, and her body feeling exhausted from all the kicking and punching.

It was no use, no one could hear her, no one could do anything, it was just her, the darkness and her thoughts.

After what felt like an eternity, Chaeyoung felt the car come to a stop.

She tried sitting up, but the bag was pushing against her, so she just lied back down, waiting for the next thing to happen.

She felt rustling next to her, and then she  was lifted out of what she assumed was the trunk.

As her body was scraping against the floor everytime she was being pulled away, she thought of her family, her friend's...and Mina.

Sighing, she felt like giving up already, but something in her told her to keep fighting, resist, break free, and leave.

Chaeyoung was put to a halt, she could hear the bag opening, this was her chance!

But before she could even crawl out, she felt hands grabbing her by the legs, once again, dragging her to who knows where.

She tried to fight them off, but she was too small.

"You should just stop trying, you know?" Said the voice, but it sounded familiar, like she had just heard it moments before.

Then it struck her "M-Mr.Myoui?!" She shrieked, but the figure just let out a wicked cackle.

"Smart one, eh?" Chaeyoung felt like crying, she was crying, hot tears streamed down her face, the only thought that ran through her mind was; What is going to happen to me?

Soon enough, she was picked up roughly by the collar of her shirt, she came face to face with the evil man, feeling his breath on her face.

He just smiled, a twisted evil smile, before thrusting her into a room, and locking the door.

Chaeyoung was so scared, but she was determined to fight.

Picking herself up, she felt her legs shaking as she tried to stand.

"Why hello there, dear child..." Said a voice behind her, she carefully turned around and screamed when she saw the Lycanthrope.

She tried to run away, defend herself, but she was frozen to her spot.

A cold chill ran down her spine as she saw it approaching her.

Was it going to eat her? Bite her? Kill her?

She didn't know, but before she could even open her mouth to speak, the Lycanthrope lunged at Chaeyoung, lighting fast.

Yet it stopped once it was in front of her, it just smiled deviously, before merging itself with her.

Chaeyoung felt it crawl into her soul, attacking it, fusing with it.

She tried to fight it, but it was too late.

She passed out afterwards.

Mr.Myoui came inside, not feeling any remourse for the child.

He was a selfish man, he just stood there, cackling at his achievement, he was no longer in debt!

"Welcome to the world, Blood Moon... "
